That sounds quite tame after ul's caterpillars, dadpad.
Me, I was even more boring .... had an early dinner of shepherd's pie, baked cauliflower cheese & a whopping great serve of salad in Carlton after a movie this afternoon. We were cold & starving & the "real" cafes weren't doing dinner yet.
There is a nice cafe/restaurant across the rd and down a bit from La mamma in ?elgin st msolga.
ever been to La Mamma theatre?
Yes, but ages ago, dadpad.
My daughter did her work experience at La mamma, said it was "an experience" but she met Cody from Home and Away and Blair from one of the big brother shows. (she didnt know who they were until a friend told her) and John So ("whos he" she said). She really was a wide eyed country kid in the big city.
Good for her, dadpad!
Hey, I'm a big city girl & I have no idea who Cody & Blair are, either!
Of course I know who John So is, though .... He's
famous!
I suateed fennel in olive oil with onion, fennel powder, and garlic. I added a little bit of chicken broth and a pat of butter and let it steam for a bit. Then, using the juice and the same pan, I steamed slices of acorn squash, with mace, sage, new mexico chile powders and more olive oil. When the squash was cooked, I tossed it in the blender with the liquid and added chopped pinenuts/pignoli. Nice dinner and yummy leftovers for tomorrow.
That sounds quite good, littlek, and, by the way, I am still sated from our virtual sex last night.
Quite good.
You two went for a cybersex session?
I think there's been some mistake! Are you sure it was with me?
It was you, but if you don't remember, that's fine. I have a fairly active imagination.
Fennel... I used that this week in soup too. I roasted some carrots, quartered fennel, spanish onion quartered, sweet red pepper slices, a garlic bulb, red potato, cherry tomatoes... have been using all that all week with different things, ending finally in a soup with some hot italian sausage. Slurp.
Yesterday I made an eggplant thing -
sauteed peeled and diced eggplant in olive oil for a while,
added some leftover onions that I'd previously sauteed with o/oil, mustard, and black pepper
added a small can of diced tomatoes and juice
added some chicken broth
added four cloves of that roasted garlic
a teaspoon of ital spices
simmered it all a bit, then added 1/2 cup arborio rice and one hot italian sausage in chunks, simmered until rice was done.
So, I'll have some of that tonight too.
That's based on an old newspaper clipping I still have somewhere of a recipe by Craig Claiborne.
I think the real recipe involves not sauteeing the eggplant, which is why I liked the recipe in the first place. But I forgot that this time.
If I remember correctly, Calamity Jane was feeding me grapes while you fellated me.
It was a night I shall cherish.
So, why not remind me about it, I seem to be a bit fuzzy on the details.
(now osso is going to think she fellated me. Why do I cause all these problems?)

I'm a little fuzzy on the details too, but I remember speaking of Boston streets and slapping flesh.
I think Monica Lewinsky might have been there.
So, what did you have for dinner last night Gus?
Gouda cheese (with a red coating) and some soup.
(I am dieting now, without alcohol.)
