I got Dungeness crab (pre-cooked) at the local supermarket. I'm going to make a horseradish mayonnaise to go with it. I think I'll serve it on a bed of greens. Now I wish I'd picked up some sweet corn while I was out. Oh well. Got a nice Reisling to go with it.

Forced to call an audible. Ran out of time for the picking of crab meat. We had salmon instead. Will shoot for crab tomorrow night.

Not sure I've ever had Malaysian food Aseanna. What's it like? (And welcome by the way!)

Thank you. Sorry it took so long for me to come back here. I've been away and busy. Malaysian cuisine is easy to love but tricky to define. It's culinery influence are steeped in Indonesian, Portuguese, some Chinese and Indian. Lots of coconut milk and spice mixes are the foundation of this cuisine.

msolga,
the story behind that dinner:
it started with an article in a newspaper here about
the caterpiilar plague. The author suggested to make the best of it and use them as a protein source and asked for recipies. Laughing
We joked about this, my daughter sent the recipies and did win the dinner. Very Happy Very Happy

I don't think these dishes will be high on my favorite list.

Wow, ul! Surprised

And you ate it! I'm impressed!

Perhaps if you you blotted out the "caterpillar" bit & concentrated on the "protein" part it would have been more satisfying? Very Happy
