@farmerman,
seems so

I probably wouldn't put them in the other recipe I posted as I find sweet potatoes have such a strong flavour that I'd put them with something less competitive tastewise

@ehBeth,
I picked up some fresh salmon at the market today so we're having it with fresh steamed green beans and rice. For dessert the kids can have some vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce.

I can't have any ice cream or I'll be sitting on it tomorrow Razz

@jcboy,
Tonight we’re staying in and the kids want cheeseburgers and Mac & Cheese for dinner. After dinner we’re all going to color eggs for the Easter egg hunt tomorrow morning.

Last night was date night for the Puerto Rican and I so we went back to our favorite Asian Cuisine and just order appetizers and drinks., Coconut shrimp, meatballs, egg rolls, pot stickers and wings.

Mix of baby kale, spinach, arugula, kalamata olives, picante sauce, avo, cauliflower, broccoli slaw, and a couple of tender chicken strips.

Satisfying.

@jcboy,
Looks good! I've often wondered about going to a restaurant and only ordering appetizers for the meal, since I'm not a big eater. I just have to remember to order from the appetizer menu. Wink

A couple of wedges of iceberg lettuce with a few big dollops of tuna/sardine salad and two pieces of cheddar balanced on top. The sardines add flavour to the tuna, the tuna tones down the sardine. Win/win for an easy meal.

Butternut squash which the store crafted into spaghetti-like strands, sauteed in butter (yes, butter), along with some sage, slivered almonds and goat cheese.

@chai2,
Just got back from the market, picked up more steaks, going to pan fry them. Also having baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, fresh steamed green beans. Cool

@jcboy,
My favorite meal though I'll fire up the charcoal grill for the steaks.
I hate baking the spuds in a 450 degree oven for an hour. Anybody have any ideas on using the microwave with the oven?

@Sturgis,
butternut squash with sage is one of my favourite taste combos - especially if there are a few fried sage leaves in there

Yesterday I found more fresh salmon at the market. I baked it then put a little creamy lemon dill sauce on top. We liked it, the kids not so much. They didn’t care for the sauce. Razz

@jcboy,
Usually I make Sunday dinner but since I took tomorrow off from work we have decided to go out. The kids want Mexican food so that's what we're having tonight.

@jcboy,
Tonight we're going to this place called Odd Duck.

Their menu seems to consist of things like (and these are direct cut and pastes from their website):

Chicken fried fish head, seeded dredge, salsa verde, mint, cilantro

Oyster mushroom tamale, scamorza, spicy lime crema, corn nuts

Lavender vanilla bean churro, pecan, meyer lemon, marshmallow

Strawberry sorbet, graham cracker, marinated cresenza, celery

Seems pretty full of itself to me, but we've got a gift card, a friend wants to try it, so here we go.

I'll report back.
