@farmerman,
they're supposed to be firm - we'll see

next time I'll try the Strawberry Blonde varietal and see how they turn out

@ehBeth,
finished off the Petite Merlot potatoes in what could be called pork roast stew

halved the Petite Merlots
sliced carrot coins
onions cut into 1/8ths
into the crockpot with some veg soup and beef broth and herbs/spices (lots of garlic and chili)
put a small pork roast on top

let everything cook for the day

pulled the pork roast out - put it under the broiler for a few minutes to give it a nice crispy crust

we had slices of pork roast with the veggies and lots of juice to smush them up with - some salad stuff on the side

I'm making myself tea now, though I'm really craving a grape soda or something similar.

may they stay firm and nit get all mushy like those yella ones.

not mushy at all - til they were attacked by forks Smile

they were like tiny firm Yukon Gold potatoes - more waxy than floury/mealy in texture - they'd be perfect grated for latkes

For New Years day I had bought a prime rib roast and a ham. Well we decided on the prime rib so we’re having the ham today. A couple of weeks ago I made this Broccoli Cheese Soup, this is a pretty good recipe, it was delicious.

I'm also going to cook some white beans with carrots and put in some of the left over ham.

@cicerone imposter,
The ham does smell yummy and I have the beans and carrots cooking, I'll put in about three cups of cook ham into it later. Going to have it with mashed potatoes and some fresh cut green beans.

Oh and check this out. I found a red velvet bar cake in the fridge. Perfect dessert. Cool

Last night the Lovely Bride made a stir-fry of shrimp and bok choy, using a
coconut-infused oil.

The second to the last remaining of my last batch of burritos, with a bit of mayo, vinegar, garlic, basil dip on the side. Um, I'd likely like Kransky..
