I think that will be the last meal we cook in this house. We leave on Saturday so we will be packing up the kitchen this week. Tomorrow we have plans for dinner with friends then Thursday going over the bridge to Tampa to my sister in law’s house, she has invited us to dinner. And boy does she know how to cook!

Thanks Osso...I was following the bullets and it said not to...then it said it was okay...then it said use a plastic knife made for cutting. Very interesting.

Farmerman...that sounds amazing. I am going to try it. I love salads. Probably why I have never seen the metal reaction thing....we eat it up almost immediately. Smile

Marco had to work late so we didn’t have time to eat out and most of the kitchen is packed away so Antonio and I went out and bought some steaks for the grill. Had them with sautéed mushrooms, baked potatoes and had to microwave green beans. The three of us are too stuffed to have any of the carrot cake I bought for dessert!

We are going out for sushi tonight. I was a bit disappointed that my favorite place The Queen & I no longer have a sushi bar, I guess they were not making enough money so the owner Byron decided get rid of it, but I know of another great sushi place down on Treasure Island so we’ll be going there tonight.

I got a nice raise yesterday so we're going to go get take-out at The Rib House. It's a bit of a skanky place. Most of the reviews say to get take-out as the clientele is a bit iffy. Our neighbour Jimmy is often seen swaying home after an evening at The Rib House.

however ... the reviews also say ''best ribs in East York', 'great burgers'.

the ribs were freaking amazing

if I could remember my yelp password I'd be giving them a great review right now

things were quiet at The Rib House. The roofing lads were just arriving, a couple of older gents who aren't quite up to Legion standards propped up a couple of tables. Set waited inside at the counter with a quietish fellow watching some kind of sporting event on t.v. while I took the dogs on a brief walkabout. No females in the joint. Well, one was leaving as we arrived. She was jovial.

I wanted to take my sister in law out to dinner for helping us out this weekend but instead she said she wanted to make us dinner. She’s making a pork roast with red beans and rice. It sure smells good.

With nary a soul in the house for whom to cook ... and with only slight mortification, I admit to having Count Chocula for dinner. Halloween's around the corner and my favorite cereal is finally back in stock. Plus fewer dishes to clean kinda rocked!
