@jcboy,
Oy! Canonballs. Here's a tip, FWIW, a couple of teaspoons of Baking Powder will make them fluffy floaters rather than sinkers.

We won’t be cooking tonight, when Marco gets home we have two houses to look at then going out to dinner.

I’m thinking Outback Steak House is in order for tonight. Cool

@jcboy,
We have an Outback steakhouse in Cupertino near the APPLE campus, but we've not been there for over a year. I like their friendly waiters and prices.

@cicerone imposter,
Outback is kind of mediocre, not my cup of tea! There are definitely better steakhouses around.

Well, jcboy did well yesterday, I love his cooking in pictures!

@CalamityJane,
Morgan knows one of the executives that works in the corporate office for Outback in Tampa, not my favorite steak restaurant but he’s trying to get them to sponsor him in the next Smartride coming up in a few months.

@MMarciano,
My last steak was at Outback, courtesy of some friends. It was horrible., virtually inedible. Gristle city and way overdone.

It is strange being grateful and repulsed at the same time.

Recently I notice here, in the land of sand, that ordinary restaurants refuse to do medium rare. I had a near fight at one place and I had told the wait person I would sign a waiver. The owner came to the table and read me the riot act.

I figure this is because they buy inferior beef production stuff, mostly already chopped beef in packages, and do steak cremation from fear of legalities.

If, on the other hand, a kitchen grinds good beef just before cooking, chances of uggy bacteria are small.

@jcboy,
I told you I'm a brat.

Talk with them about good beef and what it might do for their business.

The food wasn’t that bad tonight and this year I will be sponsored by OSI Restaurant Partners, LLC, they are pretty big and own different chains of restaurants like Outback and Bonefish Grill, which are pretty big in this area of Florida.

I have no idea how much per mile they will be sponsoring me, I’ll find out from my friend next week.

Dinner wasn’t too bad!

That's why I never look at pictures of chicken dishes.

I told them I wanted ALL the veggies - it was like a salad on a sub by the time it was done Shocked

a lot like this

(I'm trying to forget an unfortunate incident when I lost it at the Village Inn on Wednesday or was it Thursday)

Tonight, I made fishcakes -
drained can of mackerel
some already cooked potatoes, then mashed
some crunched crackers
some cumin and chile
some parsley and garlic flakes
two beaten eggs.
Mixed well, coated with corn meal, and sauteed slow in olive oil

Ate one, six breakfasts to go.

Later some fruit.
