@jcboy,
Love raw arsters. They gotta be smaller than those and salty as you can get. CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND arsters are my fav followed by Gulf Arsters at Felix restaurant in Nawlins

@farmerman,
Me too! Here in Florida you can get a dozen for 12 bucks, in CA you would pay twice that much. I can make a whole meal out of raw oysters!

@farmerman,
My red beans recipe.

I cook the beans for three to four hours, while their cooking I fry fours slices of bacon until crispy. Crumble them up and put them in the beans. I dice an onion, green bell pepper and garlic; fry them in a skillet with a little olive oil. Dump them in the beans, then put a few diced tomatoes and a diced jalapeno, mix it all together and serve it over white rice.

@MMarciano,
What kind of beans do you use, Marco?

My latest passion is kale - thinly sliced with shredded carrots and walnuts in Tahini dressing (homemade)......

@CalamityJane,
I like kale in my ricotta tortes (breakfast quicks, though it takes a little longer to make the torta).

a chunk of ossobucco left over from our teambuilding lunch at Terroni

two butternut squash-stuffed ravioli with toasted almonds left over from the same meal

this was a great space for our lunch

@ehBeth,
Well, that seems right. I'd prefer a bit more room, but those ravioli sound good.

Tonight: a fish curry, cooked with all the different ingredients (no curry paste), plus steamed basmati rice. Maybe some steamed greens, but at this stage I think I've run out of puff .... it's quite sticky & humid here. Makes a person feel quite weary. Storm brewing, I think.

It was a cool and rainy day so when I came home I made a pot of Manhattan clam chowder with some nice buttery rolls.

Grilled steak, baked potatoes & steamed green beans tonight.
Feeling a wee bit peaky, so it must be time for a steak hit.

@msolga,
Amendment:
Forget that!
I've just been invited out to a friend's place for dinner.
Not sure what's on the menu, but I leave in about 15 minutes.

So steak tomorrow night instead.

We are staying in tonight. Just ordered a pizza from Astra Pizza with an antipasto salad. Maybe we can find a good movie on PPV.

I'm heading off to Caplansky's Deli tonight. Why did I pick a deli for a meal with a vegan and a guy who can't eat meat because it's some kind of Greek Orthodox religious time? cuz I wasn't thinking of anything other than how close it is to tonight's show venue.

Oh well, Nadia and I will have good meals and the lads will have to eat salad and something made with buckwheat.

I'm going to go early, order a kishka and a beer, read a book while I wait for them.
