Soup -

onion chopped, celery chopped, a couple of fat garlic cloves sliced, part of a sweet green pepper chopped, all sauteed in olive oil; the remains of a bag of arborio rice, 1/2 c? added with some cups of water... simmered. When rice about done, some doggybag jalapeno beans (mild), two fresh hot italian sausages squeezled, simmered some more.
Damn good if I do say so myself.

I made orzo pasta with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil, finely chopped shallots and nice chunks of avacados with a red wine vinegrette and salt and pepper topped with goat cheese - and a glass of white wine.

That sounds excellent, mismi!

Tonight I had salmon in a lemon dill sauce and a spinach and mushroom salad.

Last evening - small perch fillets baked in a little olive oil with garlic, a little red pepper powder, s + p.
Some Mezzetta green olives stuffed with almonds.

For tonight, I may have cooked the Stracotto di Cremona (a pot roast braised very slowly with veggies and red wine, recipe by the Romagnolis). If so, with some previously cooked brown rice arborio, or mashed potatoes.

Indian-style kidney beans (rajma) and rice; paranthas (bread) and paneer (Indian cheese). All made by moi. Turned out decent.

last night? grilled lamb chops with fresh naan and some veggies. not the cauliflower in the end. decided it'll be good for today.

the more exciting meal was on Friday - went to a Korean resto with brendalee and The Empress. I had the dumpling and rice cake soup. It was extraordinary.

Time for fish soup. Not sure if chowder or a tomato noodle concoction yet.
Will start by simmering some bagged shrimp shells and some clam broth and see where I go from there.

Some rolled up, stuffed lean lamb thingies from my new (trendy!) butcher. Along with a most inventive accompanying dish, comprising of (left-over) pasta & an assortment of other, mostly healthy, ingredients I won't go into too much detail about here. Embarrassed (It's Friday night - cooking anything is a major achievement tonight. So I'm not being too picky.)
