part of a disc of expensivo packaged foofoopesto, snarl, plus my cooked pasta, the pesto in a tad of butter; batch of fresh grated p. reggiano; some lemon squeezed to finish. Good, satisfying, not the real thing, but then it's not summer here anyway. Harrumph.
Not very inspired tonight: roast chicken, potatoes, sweet corn & carrots, plus baby peas.
Damn! Just took the roast out of the oven & set the smoke alarm off!
... Had to run outside & grab a broom, then prod it to stop!

Chicken noodle soup.... that is, chicken broth with leftover pesto pasta + a dollop of tomato sauce. Nice and strong with all that basilico and garlic!
The Empress and I spent most of the day out going to concerts yesterday.
We met BrendaLee at the Noodle Bowl before BrendaLee and I headed out to another concert.
I had chicken satay on their wonderful mango salad. Somewhere I've got a photo of The Empress behind her bowl of soup (you could serve 5 or 6 people from that bowl).
Tonight: a spicy black eyed pea & mushroom "curry" & (hot!) saag paneer on steamed Basmati rice with a simple raita on the side.
Sound good, MsOlga.
I wish, ehBeth, that the Empress had a name, however concocted.. And that's all I'll say to that, as I might move toward rude.
