As there are probably 30 or 40 or more active Bush-bashing threads out there, would it be possible to keep this one more or less focused on immigration issues?

A recently completed Rasmussen poll conducted in numerous states shows a pretty strong consensus of opinion on immigration regardless of whether the poll was conducted in a red or blue state. The states are fairly unanimous that the border must be controlled before further policy is implemented and are unanimous that legal immigrants should be welcomed. The strongest and most absolute consensus is that children born to illegals in the United States should not receive automatic U.S. citizenship.

The answers were more mixed, but a fair plurality do think that we should not attempt to forcibly remove all the illegals who are already here.
