Ticomaya, good to see a post from you. Pehaps you are correct, but when the federal government does not enforce its own laws, it looks like they would at least welcome the states attempting to help them? Don't the Feds welcome it when a state makes a big drug bust for illegal importation of drugs or narcotics? And did not they cooperate when they were trying to limit any suspected beef associated with Mad Cow disease? Also, don't the states have some rights of their own to protect their own borders from illegal immigration? For example, I rememberArizona checking our cars at the state line for bringing in unauthorized fruit from neighboring states. If they can do that, it would seem that they should be able to limit unauthorized people?

Well based on facts the Native Americans were the original Natives of North American so the real illegal immigrants were the White Europeans led by Columbus who slaughtered their way to taking the "Kingdom". So if you ask me send all of the real illegals who took this country and South Africa back where they came from. If White people didn't exist in the world their probably wouldn't be War and suffering. White Europeans went around the entire World stealing what they wanted and killing whom they pleased to get their way. Look who's always starting Wars in other countries!

Question for you. Who brutalized the Native Americans in parts of southwestern North America before white Europeans got here? You do realize archeologists have found evidence of heads bashed in, possible cannibalism, etc. in some of the archeological ruins of that region ?

okie, Why do you insist on posting ignorant bs? Cannibalism was practiced by humans early in our history, and some South Pacific cultures (like in Fiji) continued to practice cannibalism until about 100 years ago. Some African cultures practiced cannibalism until more recent times.

Native Americans as well as your ancestors practiced cannibalism some time in their past.

Yes--but any of the other "natives" would have done exactly the same had they discovered the technological means to do it. And in fact did so whenever that condition was fulfilled. So it is not White Europeans as such but clever humans. And there is no question as to the benefits to the human race as a whole of white European cleverness. So far at least.

What explanation is there of the Iraq population not welcoming an outside force to relieve it of an evil despot when the people of Egypt, Libya and Syria would greet such a force by strewing roses in its path.

But in the first gulf war, we were welcomed and supported by the Sunni population around Biafra. We went off and left them twisting in the wind, but still. . . .

Back in 1993, the NFL (professional football) was scheduled to play the end of the season Super Bowl game in Arizona. But then the state refused to recognize the newly established Martin Luther King holiday.
The NFL - where perhaps the majority of the players are black - abruptly moved the game to LA. The cost to the AZ economy was estimated to be around $100Mn.
This coming Tuesday, MLB (professional baseball) will play the annual All-Star game in AZ. There is a certain degree of unhappiness about that, as AZ has adopted SB1070 which was signed into law last year by the Repub Gov Jan Brewer.
SB1070 is regarded as one of the most stringent pieces of legislation involving immigrants. In brief, as I understand it, immigrants must carry proof that they are in the country legally and the police may, with "reason," challenge people to prove they are citizens (my rather sloppy interpretation of SB1070).
30% of MLB players are Latino. MLB dodged the issue by noting that key provisions of SB1070 are on hold after a judge blocked implementation until after appeals are heard.

Meanwhile, the AZ state senator who wrote SB1070 is enduring a recall election. 10,000 signatures have been collected. 7,750 need to be certified to force a recall election.

Well it's an ILLEGAL activity, so I would be best to let the border states enforce their laws.
These states can call in the feds if they need them, but local and state law enforcement have jurisdiction.

Perhaps, but their spectacular and longstanding failure to enforce the law has resulted in there being 12 million illegals in the US. The federal government can hardly bungle the job for years and years until there is a crisis, and then criticize the states affected for stepping in to do something about it.

I agree with you; the feds are responsible for illegal immigration, but have done nothing except add staff to the borders that has been a big failure.

They could very easily control illegal immigration with laws against hiring illegals in this country. The feds failed in many areas including illegal immigration, so their crying "wolf" is a no-brainer.

Well, Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.

The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?
