Don't flatter yourself CJ. Not one of us cares enough to be upset with you.

We are just having a bit of fun-- that's all.

I may be the only one here who wonders this but, does anyone really think shiksa's tongue blathers about short, brown skinned, dark haired people when those same short, brown skinned, dark haired people are alive and breathing in his face?

Immigration bill advances in Senate

By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writer
21 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The Senate resurrected the immigration bill that could legalize millions of unlawful immigrants Tuesday, but the delicate compromise faces the same threats that derailed it earlier this month.

The White House and Republican and Democratic architects of the bill hailed the crucial test vote that revived the legislation, and they predicted approval of the measure by week's end.

Their victory was fleeting, though, giving way just hours later to stalling tactics by GOP foes. Conservatives succeeded in delaying until Wednesday consideration of a package of amendments designed to pave the way for a final vote on the bill.

They did so by using Senate rules to insist that the entire 373-page package be read aloud, relenting only when Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., agreed to postpone action on the amendments.

That was just the first in a series of formidable obstacles lying in the bill's path. The Senate is slated to consider 26 amendments, mostly from senators seeking to change key elements of the bill, that have the potential to either sap its support or draw new backers.

After that, the legislation must overcome another make-or-break vote as early as Thursday. And there is no guarantee that it will ultimately attract enough support to pass.

Republicans and Democrats alike are deeply conflicted over the bill, which also would create a temporary worker program, strengthen border security and institute a new system for weeding out illegal immigrants from workplaces.

WE HAVE TO RALLY OUR FORCES AGAIN! THIS IS THE WEEK!

Dear tom,

Like some dreadful zombie back from the dead, the pro-amnesty crowd is stalking Capitol Hill again, pushing yet another BAD version of a "comprehensive immigration reform bill!"

George W. Bush, Ted Kennedy, John McCain, the corporate special interests and the Hispanic lobby simply don't get the message that is coming loud and clear from the American people - secure the borders and don't give amnesty to illegals!

This week, the Senate will again try to ram a bill down our throats that not only gives amnesty to 15 -20 million illegal aliens, it does nothing to secure our border and nothing about illegal immigration. The government itself estimates that under this bill illegal immigration will only drop 13 % in 20 years. But it doubles legal immigration and costs us 2.8 trillion dollars. Some deal!

My friend, this week we must stand up to the political elites one more time and kill this amnesty bill…once and for all!

I have two urgent requests for you today:

First, please call your United States Senators today and tell them how strongly you oppose any bill that grants amnesty to illegal aliens…….and that means any bill that contains provisions for so-called "paths to citizenship" for illegals. The Capitol switchboard number is 202-224-3121. If you have already called your Senators, thank you…..but please call them again!

Second, I urge you to make a special contribution right now, to help fuel our grassroots, people's campaign and hold the establishment politicians' feet to the fire today and defeat them tomorrow!

My presidential campaign is dedicated to the cause of securing our borders and opposing amnesty for illegal aliens. No other candidate has my record of leadership and consistency on this supremely important issue. Where other candidates waffle, I stand forthright against amnesty and in support of American heroes like Duane "Dog" Chapman, and border patrol agents Compean and Ramos!

My presidential campaign is not about me….it is about "we the people" pushing back against the special interests and the Washington elites, and preserving our nation!

We can stop President Bush and the pro-amnesty forces again…if you can help us today with a special contribution!

Thank you for all that you do.

Tom Tancredo

P.S. The Washington elites are not giving up on amnesty, despite most Americans' absolute opposition to it. Your special contribution is the best investment you can make today in our Army Against Amnesty, a powerful political movement that can stand up for "we the people" and once again beat the pro-amnesty crowd!

I listened to that until they stopped it. Even though it was rather boring, especially due to the monotone drone of his voice, it was also quite enlightening, some of the stuff cleverly buried inside. I am searching for a copy for my personal perusal. Where might I obtain such a thing?

Just ask your good friends here on A2K, and we will provide, of course.

And there lies a big part of the problem with the latest wave of immigrants. They have no intention of assimilating and learning the language. They don't have to - they can just work a job with a spanish/mandarin/whatever speaking boss. They can go to a world cup qualifier and boo their adoped homeland unmercifully and with great prejudice, and the multicultural types (idiots, one and all) just say "Isn't that nice". They can go to a hospital and have their anchor baby free of charge, while the poor, uninsured American citizen in the next bed gets a killer bill to cover BOTH beds....

It goes on and on, but anyone with more brains than emotions knows that illegal is illegal is illegal, and that their mere presence inside our borders makes them felons.
