Lou, having been born outdoors, has the call of the wild. We just moved again, and had to keep him indoors for a week. He hated it. Just to show how happy he was, after we let him roam outside yesterday, he returned within ten minutes with a mouse. Good boy.

Msolga, I do agree that the girl cats are very cute. We have a beautiful little tabby ourselves as you probably know. But her brother Nisse is a very good looking fellow, too!

Yes, I know about your beautiful tabby, urs! And about Nisse, too!
They are both wonderful, as I've seen see from your photographs! Very Happy

I was just being a wee bit wicked in favouring girl cats. I suppose it's because I had a number of them who always seemed to be over-shadowed by their more up-front male equivalents at the time. Now that I have one solitary girl cat myself, I guess in a funny sort of way, I'm paying a tribute (or something Confused ) to those extremely loyal female cats who lost out a little bit in the attention stakes. This is what happened when we had up to 3 or 4 cats at one time.

Any new photographs of your beautiful pair, urs?

Nisse and Mysan - yes, Msolga, it looks like Nisse is really over-shadowing little Mysan. But actually he's just bigger Laughing

It works out perfect for us because Mysan is more focussed on me while Nisse is Stefan's buddy.

They are beautiful (still!) urs! Very Happy

How old are they now? (They're in wonderful condition!)

I love the slightly cryptic expression on Mysan's face!

And have you noticed the similarities in appearance between your Nisse & Neko's Neko Nomad? They could be close relatives!

I had a rather wretched episode with Poppy yesterday. I had to drive her (in her cage, of course) to the vet's for her annual shots. Poor thing, she was extremely fretful. To the extent that she actually shat in her cage! Which distressed her no end (she's a clean little cat!) & caused me considerable distress, too. Terrible to think that she was so terrified, then mortified by her "accident". Throughout the consultation (after a swift clean-up!) she kept trying to hide from the vet by trying to burrow under my jacket. She meowed all the way home again & I thought she'd go into hiding & not forgive me for her horrible experience. But no, after just a little while she ate her dinner & was friendly again. Me, I needed a stiff drink! Sad

Oh, poor little Poppy! I feel extremely sorry for her.

Nisse and Mysan will turn seven in September. So I guess they are not babies anymore... Rolling Eyes

When I was in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago, our landlord put in a new parquet floor in our living room. I was so worried about the cats getting out of the appartment. But they never even went downstairs. Stefan said Mysan was hiding inside the metal springs of the old sofa we have upstairs. Our landlord does not really believe that we have two cats. He only saw Mysan once when he was here. They don't like him. He is pretty noisy of course since mostly he is fixing something when he comes here. And he is not really into animals. Our neighbour's dog doesn't care for him, either. Interesting how they know...

Oh, and the new floor is lots of fun - at least for me to watch the cats. It is very smooth and slippery. The old floor was a really really old wooden floor with cracks and scratches. Hard to clean when a cat throws up...

Msolga, yes, Neko Nomad and Nisse look very much alike!

Unfortunately i don't have a cat, but I really love cats, and seeing your pics and stories only makes the yearning stronger.

I'm sure they do instinctively know whose friend or foe, urs.

Same as I start looking at friends a little differently when I observe a coldness toward animals. Especially mine! Laughing

I can understand that, Quincy!

So I hope there's a critter in your life before too long!

Don't they?

I wonder if Neko has seen the resemblance, too?

Oh yes! One of my friends who came into my life not too long ago is not at all used to animals. So at first she did not feel too comfortable at our place. But I could see she was doing her best and Nisse was absolutely charming. So now she is enjoying it - a little careful still, though

Good to see you again, Vivien! Very Happy (I was wondering what had become of you.)
I imagine that Rosie (& Mr Paddy, too) is in the process of shedding some of that extra padding now. It being spring in your part of the world. I suppose she's climbing trees, stalking imaginary critters, thoroughly enjoying the great outdoors again .... (pssst ...photos, please! Very Happy)

I hope your exhibition went well, that you've managed to sell a few pieces & become quite wealthy! Very Happy
