Want a lift from the airport, margo?

Let me know. It'd be a pleasure.

How's Miranda going this weekend, Deb?

Pretty good...yelling that I haven't fed her, although I have.

One supposes that the best gourmet catfood has not met with Her Highness' approval.

She was wearying of the prime steak, so I got Her Majesty some ultimate canned food.

Indeed, why not?

Miranda is special. She deserves the a ultimate! Absolutely! Very Happy

Tried fresh pilchards from the market, Deb?

Puts the Grrrr into pussy-cats, trust me! Very Happy

Yes, she is indeed a charater in her own funny little way.

I suspect the motive of many of her antics are to please & engage me.

And she does make me laugh & smile ... a lot.

Rosie is snoozing, I don't know where Paddy is and the squirrels are racing and leaping about in the garden.

Yesterday one of them had been sitting on the bird table eating - it's a simple 5ft 6in post with a flat board on top - and decided to come down head first down the post ..... then changed his mind .... he just hung by his back toes off the edge of the board, totally head first, quite relaxed, while he obviously changed his mind and wondered what to do next, staying there for nearly 2 minutes! ..... then swung back up and continued eating before skittering off to play some more.

Paddy hasn't managed to lose his collar .... yet.

Your back yard sounds a delight, Vivien.

If it isn't one of your fuzzy critters getting up to hi jinx, it's the squirrels!

Such entertainment! (& for free!)

Never a dull moment! Very Happy

Diane, I have been thinking long & hard about the problems Dys has described - getting up for a wee in the night (as we all do!) & discovering a bed full of critters on his return. No room left for Dys!
I think a custom-made bed, produced by an ace crafts-person is the obvious answer! Idea A really BIG one!
One that takes into account the as-yet-not-acquired critters that are absolutely inevitable! Very Happy

... and hey, Roberta ...

I think I have thought up the absolutely perfect pet for you! What about one (or 2!) of those wonderful little miniature turtles/tortoises. They are lovely & allergy-free! Very Happy

Hey, what do you think?

Now this I like. Just one question. Is it a boy thing or a girl thing?

msolga, Didn't mean to be so abrupt. I'm embarrassed Embarrassed to admit that reptiles and amphibians make me uncomfortable close up. They're interesting to me from a distance, like on tv or in a book. I confess that I did once pet a boa constrictor (a pleasant experience), but mostly I'll keep my distance. BTW, I had pet turtles when I was a kid. I was afraid to touch them. My father was in charge.

Lol!

Part of me would quite like one, too...and they have a devoted fan base.

However, in Oz they retailed for about $3,000...and I have just discovered that Sony has stopped making them. You could get them much cheaper second hand, but I imagine that they will become more expensive as they become a collector's item!
