As with so many things, that article stated what most women have known for years.
Thanks Walter, very interesting. Now tell us what kind of pate you think Deb would be.
Here's Dante, giving lessons on how to relax.
What a stunner, Diane. Of course cats could write the book on relaxing--except for two things. (1) They can't write (if they can, they're not letting on) and (2) they're too busy relaxing to write books.
Boidy, you nailed it. Cats teach by example. Why extend the extra effort to learn how to write?
Diane, I'm still not entirely convinced that they can't write. I'm thinking won't rather than can't.
Yes, you might be right again. I must say that Dante eyes the keyboard quite intensely at times, when he isn't stretched out to his full length on the desk, obliterating all articles, playing with pens, moving things according to his own taste in decor.
Hmmm, maybe he is an interior decorator.
Goodnight, hope you are feeling better. My thoughts are with you.

When I was writing my first book, Miranda deleted an entire file of illustrations I had laboriously created. She could have deleted any number of things that would have been relatively easy for me to re-create. She went for the killer. An accident? We can only wonder.
He certainly is beautiful, Diane.
I was wondering, how does his he get along with Fred, the parrot?
Damn.
Miranda has had another of those stroke like things.
Not as bad as the first....but I am worried that she is on her way out, too.
At least she is still very happy.
I don't feel good about going away and leaving her now.....have to monitor how she is going.
I am due to leave Saturday morning.
As I said, thank heavens it doesn't make her unhappy.
Dante IS lovely.
Stroke-like things, Deb? That's really worrying.
Aw, poor Miranda.
Is she staying at your place while you're away, or boarding?
Not sure.
Normally a neighbour feeds her.....but now? Dunno.
See how she goes, I guess.
Cats apparently do not have strokes as peope do...but they can have something that has the same effects.
They think it may be some inflammatory process.
She had one a couple of years ago.
It was worse....she had her head on one side, and could only just walk for a while, and would fall when she tried to change directions, just after getting up, or when she jumped up onto things.
She staggers a bit now on soft surfaces, or when getting up.
Actually, her head had not long returned to absolutely normal.
I am not sure whether she had it yesterday, or today when I was out.
Yes, I think they do have strokes, Deb.
What you've decribed is very much like what happened to my old tabby cat, Polly, some years back. Though she was much older (23!) than Miranda & kept forgetting to eat, poor thing.
But if Miranda's eating, is happy & otherwise healthy, that's good.
Could there be a bit of muscular deterioration? That could be the cause of the staggering, maybe not another stroke? (Been through that one, too.) Though the way you describe it, it sounds rather more sudden that a slow deterioration thing.
I hope she picks up soon, Deb.
Awww Deb. I am so sorry to hear this. Is Miranda feeling lonely???
Deb querida,
Sorry to hear about little Miranda. She's eating and seems happy. Those are good things.
I'll be thinking about you.
Here's Possum's Christmas pic!

He looks remarkably like you!
Margo, The amount of gorgeosity should be against the law.
Hey, Deb. You going somewhere?
Possum's new picky is extra adorable.
Dante is sublime in person too. Did Diane tell you all about the neighbor going with her and getting three kittens? (Perhaps we can nag her some more to join a2k, Diane). She's one friend I don't think either of us would mind being here.
Sorry to hear about Miranda's problem, Deb. Cross fingers.
