mmmm - I think Rosie is trying to pretend it's just her coat as well Twisted Evil

Paddy saw the vet this morning and though she would have preferred him to stay in another couple of weeks, agreed that as we're at home (himself has some time off) he can go out - thank heavens! we're roasting in a heat wave and it's such a relief to be able to have the patio doors open.

He beetled straight off to check his territory and hasn't been seen since - typical! We'll keep him in tonight though.

She was really pleased with his progress and range of movement and is checking him in another 16 days or so. She feels at the moment that he won't need an op Very Happy

He'll always have the limp as one leg is now shorter because the hip is dislocated. There's no way of putting it back though

Yes please, Possum pics and mspoppy pics

Hi gang. I stopped in a2k for some help with something. Couldn't be in the neighborhood and not stop in here to say hello. Mikey is, well, Mikey. Big, aggressive, and big.

Hope all is well.

Deb querida,

I miss me too. I've been in a gray state. Stress beyond words. Barely functioning.

Good to see you here, kid.

So the wife tells me that Louis is basically eating hot dogs all the time, dressed up as beef, chicken, veal, etc. So on a lark I buy him a lamb & wild rice meal in a packet, which I gave him tonight. He loved it.

He loved it so much he puked it all over the living room carpet about 1/2 hour later, plus what appeared to be his breakfast, some dry food he ate during the day, and part of last night's dinner, mostly digested.

Argh!!!

Me, too!

Took you long enough, Roberta!*
(You must know how we hang out for Mikey tales here!)

* Just kidding, Roberta. I know what a frantically busy time you've been having these past few months. Thanks for taking some time out to say g'day! What an absolute pleasure to see you here! Very Happy I wish it could be more often, but I do understand ....

Hiya Olga,

No new Mikey tales. He's big, aggressive, and dopey. He had developed a fondness for a project I was editing. He didn't eat it, but he did like to take naps on it. Extricating him from the manuscript was a challenge.

When he was a kitten, he nibbled on a project I was working on. I had to call the person I was working for and ask if she wanted back the nibbled bit. No, I could keep it. Napping is definitely preferable to nibbling.

How's your new feline?

I haven't read the back pages, so I don't know what's happening.

Sounds like you are taking some action, Boida?

Even though it is hard?

Glad Mikey is still harassing you.

I suspect it is good for you.....

Summertime is bare feet time, at least when I'm trying to sleep. Mikey has a thing for bare feet. He likes to rub his head on the bottom of my feet. This makes me laugh out loud--his ears bounce up and down. Then he nibbles on my feet. This is when I stop laughing.

Deb, I'm trying to do what I can. Not succeeding much. I'm very tired. Not eating or sleeping much.

Since last summer (surgery and radiation), I've lost 65 pounds. Not a fun way to lose weight, but I'm glad the pounds are gone. I'm fitting into clothes that I forgot I had.

An update on Louis.

After he emptied the contents of his stomach and most of his upper instestine on my carpet, he wasn't given anything else to eat, though he begged. We did leave out a little dry food, which was gone this AM.

I fed him a half a can of food that has given him no problems in the past, and he finished it in record time. Poor guy was hungry! Poor little Mr. Barfbag.

Oy veh! Every cloud....

Do you look fantastic, or is the stress affecting you too much?

Mikey still recognizes you though!

I do hope the stress is over soon.

We have just the one. He got separated from his feral mother and "saved" by my son, who was then adopted by the cat.
