@dlowan,
I received them, Deb!

(I responded, but can't see any evidence of it in my "sent" email list. Confused Confused )

She's looking in great shape, I must say.
Given your concerns regarding her health, she looks amazingly good!
My, she's a pretty thing, isn't she? Smile

She'll be staying in a cattery while you're away, Deb?

I was unaware that a cattery was a real world. Had to look it up in the dictionary. Was going to joke about that a cattery was better then putting dear Miranda in a doggery.
Quote:
dog·ger·y   [daw-guh-ree, dog-uh-]
–noun, plural -ger·ies.
1.
doglike behavior or conduct, esp. when surly.
2.
dogs collectively.
3.
rabble; mob.
4.
Older Slang . a place where liquor is sold; saloon.
Origin:
1605–15; dog + -ery

Which I guess still is....

She was fine this time.

Crossing fingers for kidneys!

How young is Miranda? It's a shame you can't take her on the trip. Does she even have a passport? Or is she on the law enforcement's watch list?

I will be thinking good thoughts that she returns to good health.

@dlowan,
Yes, she does. Smile

(I'm glad you've told me you received my emails, Deb. Because I couldn't find them at all in my "sent" folder & thought there might be some new problem. Odd. )

It is sometimes used here (in my part of Oz, anyway), tsar.
Or it might be called a cat boarding establishment.

Or, at the ritziest end of the market, a cat hotel, or motel! Wink

How did you get your cats to do that? My horse seems fine with it but my cat is not. I have had the cat sitting on the saddle in front of me but the second the horse moves the cat jumps off.

Should that be a coattel? Or a cattel? Motels would be too lowly for dear Miranda! <<harumph>>!

The cats just kind of liked it. They were pretty socialised cats...the kind who came for walks and liked riding in cars. I didn't do anything except pop them up there and wait to see what happened.

@msolga,
In fact, I do believe this triplex penthouse is the level of luxury Miranda deserves:

@dlowan,
Well... you didn't seem interested in staying in Brooklyn right next to the Manhattan Bridge. Um... that's it.

@dlowan,
Kidneys have stayed the same!!!!

Friends have said they are REALLY happy to care for madam.

Madam Miranda to be taken to visit Auntie Steph and Uncle Kevin tomorrow night so she can get to know them, have some familiar smells around when she moves in (actually, I gave them my lovely previous sofa, so it may still hold some Oscar and Miranda smells to a cat's fine sense of smell) and we can see if they can get a pill down her gob.

@dlowan,
Pills are the bane of cats and dogs' existence. For people, it's a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down. But for cats and dogs it's a spoonful of meat make the medicine go down/ in the most delightful ways.

Peanut butter also works for some dogs as well.

So do you hide her medicine in her food Doctor Bunny?
