Henny, next door's newish cat, decided to visit yesterday morning. (She's an exquisite fluffy ginger tabby. A brazen princess. Absolutely beautiful!) I guess they've decided that she's allowed outside more now, after her incarceration indoors, while she makes her adjustments to her new home. (Newly acquired, from an animal shelter.)
The good news: My Poppy didn't seem at all bothered by her this time. Last visit there was a lot of Poppy hissing at this intrusion on
her territory. I was worried about what seemed a real possibility of a territorial war between these two spoiled critters.
The bad news: She walked
straight into my house, not a moment's hesitation, via the backdoor cat flap. And headed straight for Poppy's feeding bowls. Like she lives here & is totally familiar with the set-up! (Perhaps she is? And I've fed her a few times without knowing it?) If she continues to do this, I fear we may have a bit of a problem on our hands.
Anyway, no unpleasant incidents to report at this stage. Good!
