@msolga,
... & Ms Molly is looking very sprightly in her spring garden, I must say!

But I wonder what purpose she has planned for that newly-dug patch she's showing so much interest in? Wink

@msolga,
I haven't posted here in awhile nor do I intend to return, but something happened that deserves a post.

Lou was hit and killed trying, of all things, to cross a freeway. I think he followed another cat to the other side, got stuck there, and was just trying to come home when it happened.

RIP Louis Vuitton Armstrong.

@cjhsa,
That is very sad.

I hope, at least, that it was instant and the little fella didn't suffer.

@cjhsa,
I'm very sorry to hear that, cjhsa. He was a beautiful cat. I imagine your son is devastated. It is terrible when something like that happens. (Crossing a freeway? Oh no! Poor Lou. Sad )

@msolga,
Sometimes I wonder, msOlga, if Miss M is a, um, neighborhood gang moll,since she
is a dominating personality and does stay out for hours at times. She gets
me up a couple of hours before sunrise to let her out and won't show up until
breakfast time.
She'll have two visitors over every so often, and about all they'll do is lay around
and just face each other, with her on a chair, and visitor(s) down on the patio.

She's one remarkable cat, let me tell you...

The spadework in that picture is an iris bed work in progress .
My condolences to cjhsa --for sure it'll take him awhile to get over his loss. So tragic.

Nah. She just has a very busy social life, neko! The life of the neighbourhood! Smile

How's the beautiful Neko Chan?

@msolga,
Miss M's become the devoted cat, Msolga, but she's truly a remarkable one.
Here, for example, Miss Mollie is on dayshift at her guardpost. Note the
watchful focus in her facial expression in this view. Click on photo for a different
expression when I distracted her attention to take her picture:

None gets more businesslike than that, I swear...

Update on Nekochan to follow soon -- she's doing fine as house matron.

@neko nomad,
Very Happy

It's clear she takes her gardening guarding responsibilities very, very seriously, neko! And she's extremely photogenic ... you must have quite a large stash of Mollie snaps by now!

Looking forward to news of dear Nekochan!

I am so upset that I'm close to tears. Just now, about 10 minutes ago, there was yet another (very ferocious & loud!) attack from next door's cat, in my backyard. Poor Poppy, she can't even wile away a pleasant afternoon in her own territory without bloody (@##!#Evil or Very Mad) Nelson, next door's male tabby, spoiling it with his aggressive antics. Apart from feeling very sorry for her, I'm also very concerned ... I just finished the last lot of antibiotics, from the previous attack, a couple of days ago. The previous attack left her with an abscess (which had to be drained by the vet) & a shaved back ... Surely I/we won't have to go through this all over again?! Good grief. Right now she's out the back on her licking her wounds. I hope she's OK. She's not very keen on me taking a closer look right now. But I will, soon.

The good news is that the house next door has been sold & that the folk there (Renters. Very nice people, actually.) will not be around for too much longer. Or, more to the point, Nelson will not be around too much longer!!! Not a moment to soon for me ... & for poor old Ms Poppy, I'm certain! I hope the new owners have a dog, no cats.

@msolga,
Just checked again. She seems to be quieter & more content now & OK. Will do an even closer examination a little bit later. Catch her unawares.

Oh, msolga, Nekochan still gets around, and here she's taking the spring
garden tour.

Her fur's thinner now, and her weight's noticeable lighter, but she still gets a clean bill of health
at the vet's. She doesn't refuse a lift to the kitchen for mealtime and gets respect fro Miss Molly
and Mitsu. What else could a senior cat wish for -- she even gets a treat after being given her twice daily
insulin shot.

I can't think of a single extra thing she could wish for, neko. I reckon this is just about as good as it gets! Smile

Smile

And how sweet of you to write a personal message to me, nekochan! I feel most honoured!

One of these days, when my frantic life finally settles down (you have no idea! Shocked ), I promise I'll get on top of this posting photographs thing. Then there'll be endless snaps of Ms Poppy here! I will go crazy! People will be begging me to stop! Laughing

Enjoy you nap, nekochan.
