Bye bye Bucky Crying or Very sad I was really surprised Paris wasn't in the final three. Elliott's getting a raw deal.

They will be doing Rod Stewart. I didn't catch whether they would be doing his old stuff or his new stuff.

Should be interesting.

They should vote off Rod Stewart next week.

That would be hilarious and appropriate.

Watching American Idol has been a very interesting experience for me. It has illustrated how hyper nostalgic our culture is. Seriously, we met these characters what, a couple of months ago? And now there are montages with cheesy music behind them showing all the "good times" we "shared" with each contestant.

It's like crying over digital photos you took the night before.

It also shows how instant and disposable an icon can be. Bucky is the perfect example. That guy was a caricature of someone we all know, particularly if you live in the south. His smile and his voice and his swagger imprint themselves easily in the mind, and now we will never hear from him again. The end of each Wednesday show is icon an execution sponsored by Ford. Bucky placed his head in the guillotine last night.

I know I sound condescending but I am definitely addicted. And I have people I'm rooting for. Like Elliot.

Actually, Gargamel, that's a very realistic view. At first glance, I thought what? Shocked But, after reading it again, you're dead on with that.

Elliot shouldn't have been in the bottom three. He has an awesome voice. Maybe a Rod Stewart song, one of the new style, will really show off his voice.

I think this can be Taylor's and Chris' and even Kathreine's best performances because of their voices.

But, I gotta tell ya, I still want Taylor to win and I'll buy every CD he makes!

Sure, I like Taylor. He's just a normal Alabamian, like me! Except older.

I DO appreciate that the contestants are all normal people with families. After seeing Kellie's Grandpa last night, I realized why people are voting for her. She's endearing.

Oh, and another small difference between me and Taylor.

I can't sing to save my life!

Gargamel, you're a hoot! I guess that's why there are so many different types of singers/songs/etc., in this world. I like Taylor's voice. I like the unique voices in this world. Those are the ones I remember the most. Michael Bolton, Ray Charles, Freddie Mercury, Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Trisha Yearwood, etc.

I'm not saying Taylor has their talent or gift of voice. I'm just saying he has a unique quality I like. So, are you as cute as Taylor is too?

Yes, yes, it would. That ridiculous hack should have hung up his vocal chords twenty f*cking years ago. God, how I hate Rod Stewart.

I guess it will be one more week where it might be better to just tune in for the last fifteen minutes of the elimination show.

Will they ever have someone who is actually somewhat relevant coaching them?

P.S. My buddy told me that Prince was supposedly thinking of doing the show, but he backed out when he realized he would have to actually talk to the contestants. Hehehe...f*cking crazy-ass Prince.

I saw a Rod Stewart concert in Wichita, Kansas once. I am not a huge Rod Stewart fan although I do like a lot of his songs. He did put on one awesome concert.

I want to hear Taylor sing a certain song but I can't think of the name of it. Rod Stewart did a video of it and it had something to do with a train. I have to find that song!

Good to see you kicky! How are your Amazon abductors doing? Feeding you well darlin?

I finally escaped, but they took my genitals as a trophy. The chief lady was wearing them around on a chain around her neck the last I saw.

I've been neutered by the Amazon women from hell!!!

I can't second that enough. I thought he HAD hung up his vocal chords, how the hell else does a person make such a godawful sound?

Oddly enough, I thought Barry Manilow did the best job of coaching them.

Yeah, in my wet dreams. That would be amazing if it actually happened, but I can't see it happening.

Would there be anyone better, though? Prince has made a cottage industry out of coaxing hot women into being one (or a few-) hit-wonders. (Appollonia, Vanity, Sheila E [she had more substance], and he's doing it with some new gal but I forget her name.)

I so can't imagine him actually doing it, but I'd watch if he did. (The American Idol thing has completely passed me by, for probably obvious reasons...)

Yeah, and wasn't he responsible for TLC's best song ever? Absolutely he'd be great at it -- just don't think it'd happen.

No, that's not it CowDoc. All I remember of the video is that Rod Stewart was walking in a train yard. I'm thinking something like Glory Train or something. Dang, I just can't remember. I appreciate you giving it a shot. Laughing

I missed Chris' performance but from the replay, I wasn't all that impressed.

Katherine - WOW! Shocked
Taylor - HE ROCKS!

Kellie - Going home tomorrow.
