IMO it doesn't take much cognitive perception to see that he had no great ambition to become President. I never said he had NO desire to be President. Better bone up on your cognitive perception there, LW. Smile

She did qualify that by stating "no great desire," but I don't buy that in a second -- he was not drafted by the neo-cons, he wanted to be President.

OK........he didn't want to be president..........most people wish he weren't..............

THEN WHY IS HE?

Because elections count, and perfidous and skewed polls, as well as the predicable opinions of the liberal chorus, don't.

Good thing.

Ah, the LIBERAL chorus eh? Skewed polls? Think not, my dear. You are looking at the results of one of the worst administrations ever. They rule,as in monarchy or a dictatorship. They haven't a clue as to how to administer a government.

When many of my Republican friends have stated that they wished they had voted for Kerry, you have to wonder what is going to happen at the polls this year. Will they stay home? These are lifelong Republicans who are very ashamed. Many Texans too, I might add, since I am a veteran of Vietnam. Many old army friends are VERY unhappy.

What does Texas have to do with Vietnam?

I am a veteran of Iraq,Desert Storm,Somalia,Beirut,and other places.
Many old military friends are VERY happy.

What does that prove?
All of your friends votes will cancel out all of my friends votes.

um, MM, I am friends with many Vietnam veterans from Texas. Our unit met at Ft. Bliss before we were sent to Oakland for a long slow boat to the South China Sea. We are very close because we spent 5 weeks at Ft. Bliss and 4 weeks on a ship. We get together every year for a reunion and usually the Texans would spout out about how wonderful el presidente was. No more. One of my best buds is a right winger from Texas...and he is very upset about Bush. Others are from Houston, Corpus Christi, etc. And all were pro-Bush. Until now. Also, my whole family lives in Texas and knows where the wind is coming from and where it is blowing. My Aggie Brother-in-Law who never voted Dem is spewing Bush.....well, being a lady, I don't want to spell it out for you.

Texas is Bush's bastion. If he doesn't have that, what does he have?

By the way, I lived for 7 years in San Antonio...so I am little tiny bit Texan!

Pretty incredible, you juxtapose the two statements and still don't understand simple English.

Clearly, I said Bush had some desire but not lust. Little wonder why you are so easily fooled.

The reason why the link to the image won't work is that it is from an E mail account. It requires a password.

Bush was obviously drolling over being President all through the campaign and up to election night. Can't believe anything else. Sorry. You're not convincing.

Lightwizard, I think the idea of besting his father was formost in his mind. Oedipal conflict, in my opinion. Ever read "Bush on The Couch"?

How about pointing to something that shows a burning deisire AND A PLAN to become President? You are not convincing. In this case, you said he lusted to be President. Nothing in his background indicates his life has been anything but accepting what is handed to him. The burden of proof is yours. Convince me.
