I saw that friggin hat! I don't recall where, but I saw it. I posted of picture of the hat, but when I hit "preview" it didn't work, so I scratched the idea.

i think the lady makes them. i think it's just poofy enough for the show...plus something i'll use later on. i don't mind a little poofiness every now and then.

yup, i did! i might have some sort of a bra, but that would be pretty hard to hide. the scene is in a hot tub and we'll be using our arms a lot...so the bra could be showing and that would be disturbing... i'll see what other girls do, but i don't really care either way. guys are all gay, girls are girls, audience won't really see all that much. (though we were promised $20 for each show of nudity on the stage by the director :-) ). there will be a steam machine that will fog things up a bit too.

i keep thinking about my boss and what he'll have to say about the whole thing. he's a rabi, ha.

no pillowfight. i will, however, possibly be a whore trying to seduce Caesar in a hot tub in another scene (there is two hot tub scenes total). that will involve lewd dancing, feather boas and very skimpy outfit.

it's easy to be brave in this theatre company. Everybody is outrageous in some way.

I must now hold my head under the faucet to wash out the dirty pictures in my mind.

i have to say i am getting more and more excited. littlek may have thoughts of regret of ever mentioning the audition to me at this point.
yesterday we received CDs with music (just piano with Ryan, the director, singin the main part) for practice. I haven't been listening to anything else since (well, This American Life, but nothing else), and I force everyone else that stops by to hear it, too. Lk must have heard the whole CD at least seven times already.

Today I was coming up with choreography for my tap dance song. The company choreographer doesn't tap, so the steps are up to me. I have to teach the other 4-5 tappers the basics, they are not very advanced, so I will have to have a few trainings with them. This song will also involve a very fast solo (only a few seconds twice) that I'm cleaning up, but I got that nailed down already. Just want to make sure that every sound is clean. Seems I'll be generally doing lots of dancing in the play which suits me wonderfully. When I'm not dancing, I'm singing and in the crowd scenes on the stage.

Plus, the boys here will do a collection for Slappy to buy a digital camera with zoomlense for the occasion...

I will tapdance in a sort of a 30s cabaret song Everyone is Whiter in Rome. Funny lyrics, too. The more I know the script, the more I like the play. It's a farce that really grabs racism by its balls. Gets kinda sad, too, towards the end. They really know how to deliver a message.



By the way, this is the director in his 'work' clothes. On a rehearsal days he however looks like a regular guy in t-shirt and jeans. but he sure makes a pretty woman, too.
