dagmaraka wrote:holy mother of jesus. seven hours of rehearsal today, dancing most of the time. i can barely crawl, i have bruises and scratches everywhere. i am exhausted. our roommate has a guest here and he's little, well, what is he. not demanding, just kinda overly polite maybe? waits for everything to be handed to him, doesn't ask for anything, so i have to keep asking: would you like some tea? would you care for a snack? this? that? so my entire saturday has gone down the drains between serving the guest breakfast and chatting about nothing (roommate who's guest it is was not here, so he essentially became my guest), then rehearsal, now i'm dead. grrr. they just stepped out for dinner, thank merciful lord, cause i need silence and darkness, lots of it.
end of whining.
Oh no...... I'm sorry Dag!
Where on NPR? What did they say?
yeeaaaaah. oh well. i took a loooong HOT bath and they've been gone since my whining, so i am regaining my senses. boy was i ready to snap. every step in the house just rattled and echoed in my brain -- i was ready to run out into the kitchen and yell:" everybody, stop walking!!! just zip it, don't make sounds!"
good news : i will get comps during the first week of the show - don't know how many, but i can certainly take you and fran or you and joe...ehhhh, we'll figure it out.
just to explain: it had nothing to do with my roommate or her friend, it's just that my body and mind were frazzled, hanging on a very thin thread and any sound was like an explosion.
.... oh and now i have a positive crush on my gay director. bummer. he's sooo darn talented, and well, handsome and all. sigh.

They were talking about fame. It was about how Caesar devised 'advertising' - slogans that he wanted to spread all the way from Rome to Spain....how it worked, why... it was interesting, actually. Except everytime I hear 'Caesar', I jump.
I have a crush on the directer, too!
So, Do I need to book a night?
Opening night is on 21st April, actually (not 22nd) - at 8pm. That's a Friday. On 22nd we have a one and only matinee at 3pm. I don't know how the comps will work yet, i'll ask on tuesday
Help you what? Did you fall down?
I've had too much to drink. I.... I ... can barely type.
Hahahaha...... poor poor Gus. Don't close your eyes!
why are you staggering drunk around my stage?
now put that beer down, pick up those tassels over there, and show me how you can shake it, gus.
awwww. and we love you back.
Heehee.... ok ok. Gus, get your hand ff my ass and go get a coke.
