Fabulousity abounds ! I love it !
April 22nd is the premiere. A matinee. I hit a point these past two days, although jetlag might be a part of it, that I wake up exhausted, drag around through the day, hit an all time low in the mid-afternoon, then perk up somewhat at night, but only if i must. 11pm, I'm a walking zombie. Oh well, there's a price for undying fame.
A funny one from a cast colleague's camera (far technically superior than mine). These are the conspirators freezing to blend in with wall paintings upon the arrival of Caesar:
Thanks for the photographs, dagmaraka. It is fun to watch the preparation for a play. My own stage experience was limited to elementary school and high school. Many years later I became a "backstage" parent when my daughter performed with a professional children's theater. My daughter is now in Los Angeles working as a production assistant for the "Supernatural" television series.
I recognise that guy in the centre dag
just cant place the name..
He reminds me of a peacock choking on a pretzel
That's Bill Hough, a great actor and singer. Well, at least if you ask me. Dunno how famous individual actors are outside of Gold Dust Orphans, but they all played around in various other plays. Kitty and Afrodite are most famous of them all (shite, I reckon they would be known by their 'civilian' names, I'd have to look them up...)
Or you recognize him from some of the documentaries of the Egyptian pyramids perhaps... you know perhaps he reminds you of some hieroglyph on King Ramses' burrial tomb or whatnot. Entirely possible.
Fabtastic (it's a typo, but I love it) shot!
I've been trying to follow along, but may have missed some posts. Did you ever get a stage name?
nah, i'm too small a fish just yet. Whatever it will be, Dork will be a part of it. Last week I have written out all the tap dance steps to my tap song for my backup tappers in an excel chart... yeah.
dance rehearsal today, i'm still sore from saturday, but oh well. it's fun.
Dorkmar?
I loved the bit about your measurements all printed out on a diagram....
Typical grad student... beaten down and desperate for approval.
well, approval, yes. i always had the need to be loved and approved. grad student... .what is it? oh, that thing with a thesis...i vaguely remember...
i was born a dork, i'll die a dork. that i promise to the world.
I have acually met someone named Dorkus. Or Dorkas. I dunno how it was spelled.
Dorka is a common name in Slovakia. Well, Dorota.
I came back today with huge bruises on all of my knees and elbows. The reason, you ask?
<anticipation growing>
drumroll....
I am Caesar's slut! Yes, that's right. Me and one other girl are doing the slut dance - the dance I was eyeing from the very beginning and wanted most badly. I got it, I am it. In the whole dance we only stand up once. The rest is danced on the knees and floor, rolling around, squirming and such. Beauteous. Happy girl here.
<I will try as hard as I can to take pictures>
oh yeah, there'll be pictures.
dag,
you mean in addition to being a dork, you're also a high-ranking slut?
awesome!
