BTW, Joe ... thanks for benching D. Willis and leaving M. Mulder in last night. I'm not sure it will be enough for me to win the pitching categories this week, but I do appreciate your help.

Ah, it's difficult being the manager and the owner of the team.

I'm here trying talking about some probable trades with fbaezer so I can't put full attention on being the manager.

Phew, I was able to save the team from suffering it's worst week ever.

I was down 3-18 on friday. I still lost but just not as bad. Hoping for a better week this.

The Rich Get Richer And Then There Are The Rest Of Us...
I had a miserable June--4 straight losses, while the Puppies and Joe went 3-4. Here is how I see us after the matchups ending in June:

(1) (8-4-0) ... Puppies
(2) (8-3-1) ... JPin Milw
(3) (7-5-0) ... Pancake
(3) (7-5-0) ... Tamales
(5) (5-6-1) ... Tico
(6) (4-7-1) ... Rednecks
(7) (3-7-2) ... Sister
(8) (3-8-1) ... Pancho

You know you're a true fantasy baseball owner if ...

* You spend more time researching sleepers than the Department of Homeland Security.
Done it.

* You once countered your uncle's POW story with the bad-luck tale of your 2001 fantasy squad. Never countered a POW story but I have spent considerable time talking about bad fantasy moves.

* You think Corey Patterson should be the AL MVP.
Ummmm... no

* You sometimes scan personal ads for one from a SWF in search of a DWM who can define OPS.
It would be a nice bonus.

* You've ever rescheduled a biopsy after realizing that it falls on the same day as your auction.
Would do it.

* You realize you could make millions if you took the time you spent researching fantasy baseball and devoted it to studying the stock market…but you don't care.
now that you say it out loud... it kind of hurts

* You'd volunteer for a prostate exam before letting the computer pick your team.
Would do it.

* When you get to work late and see an urgent email from your boss, you check rotoworld.com before opening it.
Ohh Yeah.Done it.

* When David Ortiz blasts a grand slam to give your beloved Sox a walk-off victory, your first thought is, "That better not be my closer!"
Done it.

* You once caught yourself boasting to your grandmother about how you snagged Jim Thome in the eighth round.
I'd do it if I were Jespah.

* You've ever wasted half of a work day crafting a smack-talk post for your league message board…and felt proud afterwards.

Done it.

Or nineteenth round, in Jespah's case.

Last year I picked Thome and it was the bust of the draft. So this year, I passed.

WHY ME?!!!

{begins séance}

So, Grandma, how's it up there? Good, good, say hi to Grandpa for me. Oh, by the way, let me tell you about Jim Thome.

Anyway, all of that made me smile. Tico, I'm thinking about your proposal, it's been kind of a sleep deprivation week for me so forgive me if I don't answer immediately.

PS Mr. Pancake is doing well this week (hey, eventually Reyes had to cool off); I wonder if rjb's prediction will have to be revised a little.

PPS Another steal of the draft was Papelbon, methinks.

Papelbon was a Free Agent pickup, so he doesn't count.

I am very, very proud of my pitchers this week. 6 wins and 0 losses. Several of my SP went 8 innings with low ERA's. I have another SP going tonight.
But my team is lacking a bit in the hitting category. I am hurting in the day to day guy who can slap out singles or somehow be counted on to get on base.
Anyone interested in trading for a SP?

I turned down your trade offer, jespah. I know I am a dumb redneck with only one shoe, but I ain't that stupid. Perhaps you have a better offer.

But wait, there is more! As part of the Rednecks mid-season retooling (if I weren't in 7th place I would call it a fine-tuning) I have available for trade Jason Giambi (1B-NYY), I scanned a few of yalls rosters and some of you could use him. He will go fast here on the trading block, so act now.
