PS In 1987, when Luka was popular, poor Lisa Steinberg was being beaten and eventually killed by Joel Steinberg while Hedda Nussbaum, who was also being abused, was apparently incapable of stopping him (this was a huge story in the NYC papers at the time, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joel_Steinberg ). Anyway, not to get too down about things, I recall a really awful, maudlin piece of crap song from 1985 that some DJs were trying to palm off as a tribute to Lisa Steinberg and evidently an alternative to Luka, a far superior song.
