I am God and I have dropped by to set things straight.

I just have to floss my teeth first and then I'll make everything OK. I wonder though, should I use the string or tape, mint or regular? Oh well as soon as I have this momentous task completed I will solve all the world's ills.

Oh damn I just realized I am out of toilet paper too, anybody have a roll they can spare? I'll give you some frequent flyer miles when your hit the pearly gates. Oh hell, I hate using newspaper.

On at least a theoretical level, you've got a point there Debra - however, yours is one opinion, there are other opinions, and by what criteria might those opinions be weighed?

Almost anyone is welcome to post almost anything on these boards - but nobody is required to be pleased by anyone else's manner of of participation hereon, nor is there any rule against commenting on same, particularly in challege to the activities of member at focus of the commentary. Civility yes, obsequiousness, no. Nobody has to like anyone else here, nor need anyone refrain from either endorsing or critiquing any other member's interactions.

I'm sure there's no need to remind you that Freedom of Speech isn't a factor on any privately owned and operated web forum - participation of members on any such forum is entirely at the whim and sufferance of the administrators of that forum. Of course, by the same token, democracy is no factor either, nor, for that matter are fairness or justice.

No one has to like any of that, but if one chooses to participate here, one has no choice but to deal with all of it.

Dys is saying what almost ALL of the long-term members know. This place is being ruined by an influx of undesirables. You're obviously a vagrant in our community, or you'd know. Everyone knows that he'd never ask a mod to do anything, nor in four years, have I ever seen him react to a situation with a comment like that.

This situation requires it. We've already lost pivotal members, and will likely lose more. What you wanted to be part of, is on it's way out of existence.

Since that is the intent of you and those you rode in with, hopefully, the owner will decide to keep his community clean and take out the trash.

Guess it is now us v them.

Are you sure that you are the same Lash that, a few days ago, was chastising folks for 'discrimination' and 'violating the rights of others' and such?

Was that all just talk? Do you really not believe in it?

Is it just verbiage you pull out when it is politically advantageous?

I post in threads where I may be the only Christian amongst a sea of agnostics and atheists.

And I say : so what? Who cares if I am the only one who believes as I do in a particular discussion?

Do you only like A2K if people are affirming what you believe? What if people don't think like you?

Damn, rl - have you got a lot to learn about this website, its members, and their interactions with one another. You really oughtta get out more, quit hanging in the S&R forum, and go try on some of the heavy lifting games. I note you have more posts in this forum than have I, and I assure you, on many many of the other forums out there on this website, my point of view is not that of the majority. With some frequency, it is other than warmly received, too.

I think that this entire matter, and the poster in question, are being given much more attention than they really deserve. The facts are the facts, and no amount of waffling, subterfuge, hollow excuses followed by half assed attacks, whining, pissing and moaning will take away from the core of this issue.

A member lied, big time, and then attempted to excuse the behavior through some of the most underhanded tactics that I have had the dubious "pleasure" to observe. Personally, the entire matter sickens me.

Oh, come on, Phoenix. It's Momma Angel. What would you expect? She got caught with her pants down, and now a lot of people are taking advantage (that sounds wrong... you know what I mean). I agree with you, the story is not all that newsworthy. I just don't see why so many people are so shocked (or even sickened) by all of it. It's kind of interesting, but what's the big deal? (I guess that's basically what you're saying, huh?)
