Husker, you (and Jespah) have the (insofar) perfect Group B combination: Austria, Switzerland and Sweden.
The problem for Jespah was her confidence on US and Norwegian women in Group A.

George: yes, Cazenueve is the SI guy. He's much better predicting Summer Olympics.

Thirteen days of competition. We are on the last lap and it's all but decided!

Provisional results, revised:

1. husker 282 points
2. fbaezer 259
3. George 259
4. ossobuco 255
5. jpinMilwaukee 236
6. jespah 229

As Husker increases his lead (but the game ain't over until it's over), the fight for the silver and bronze medals is incredibly tough.
George has tied fbaezer, who holds second place only because of the Group C points, and ossobuco is close behind.
Jespah and jp fight desperately for not finishing last.

George's aerials (not the Bielorrusian, but another Team George member got the gold) were helpful, so were his German woman... but he didn't count the Japanese "surprise" in ice skating or the unexpected (at least for me) Swedish gold in men's curling!

It may all end up being decided in men's hockey. The Czechs are George's, the Finns are ossobuco's, the Russians and the Finns are mine.

Ah, one of my cousins is a Finn by heritage..

I am fairly irritated at the Norwegians, bless their hearts.

I will admit to never getting hockey.

...er... I meant "the Russians and the Swedes are mine", Finns are strictly osso's.

BTW, I'm going out for the weekend tomorrow afternoon. I may, or may not have time to give the results after Friday's events, but I am certain that I won't be able to do it Saturday, but I'll be back on time on Sunday, to give the final results.

I think those pesky Russians are going to get the hockey gold.
(The Bears have been the bane of Team George from the start.)

I like Czech Republic for silver and Sweden for bronze.

Darn Czech skier, I'm now on third place!
I don't care for the gold anymore, so if husker has Russia, so be it!

Go Rossija!

The freaking curling final is over and these are the provisional results:

1. husker 289 points
2. George 264
3. ossobuco 264
4. fbaezer 263
5. jpinMilwaukee 250
6. jespah 237

I don't want to be alone in desperation, so...

Guess what, jp?
None of the Austrian skiers forced to do an extra test after the police raid on the "Austrian" olympic village tested positive.
The syringe throwing coach is suspended for 10 years, but no medals will be taken away.
So there!

George is right, after all, about the nice Czech skier and her child.
Darn Janica Kostelic! The Croatian went from 4 gold in 2002 to only 1 gold and 1 silver in 2006.
