I figured I'd reacquaint myself with my camera (it's been a while) before Quinn and I went shooting tomorrow. Here are some of today's pix:

Kris, I like the one with the red tomato best. It's really great. The little water droplets are a terrific "highlighter".

Nicely done! How close were you?

The tomato picture is a little trite, but it came out really nicely. I was watering my sister's garden when I realized I just HAD to take some shots. I was a few inches in all those shots, but I'm not sure how close. I think I was very close on the tomato shot and less close on the tomatillo shots. I used a macro setting for all of the shots here.

Ah, you're being modest.

No, it's good! The lighting looks like it could have been done in a studio.

I find the contrast between the red and green very appealing.

So there......

That is phallic AND vulval, all at once.

Reyn, surely it is trite! But, I agree it came out very nicely. I didn't even have to tinker with the light/contrast.

It's a very genital shot, but when I was taking it, I thought the leaf-buds looked like little hands clasping something very small.

Quinn and fishin were just here. Q tried to take some snaps of the animals, but neither were in the mood. They kept looking away or turning around just as she clicked the picture...... heeheehee....

We walked around Mt Auburn Cemetery for a few hours, pictures will follow.

The tree photos make great shots. Almost a little abstract.

Yes the animals were not in the photographic mood....sigh. I have the same trouble with mine...one day I shall get a shot of Cleo that isnt her butt running under the bed Smile

Mt. Auburn was great fun and adding in all sorts of photographic ops is a plus - thank gal! Now, waiting for rolls upon rolls of film to get developed. sigh. It will be good, eventually, on the great pictures end here.

Great shots- the garden too - love it.

Fall in New England has been glorious! The early autumn was cold and prompted early leaf changes and then it warmed up and prolonged the show. Rains knocked old and browning leaves off the trees. It has been splendid. I spent a lot of time trying to get some good shots, but my camera is much better at photographing things that are close.

I like the third one down. Nice mix of fall colors.

I understand your complaint about your camera. Lack of a good zoom, I suppose. My wife has the same beef with hers.

In the meantime, Reyn hasn't touched his camera for months...... Embarrassed

I go years without taking a shot!

I can zoom, but not far. The biggest problem is that when I look at the image full size it's grainy and diffused. If I look at a picture like the second one full-size, it's detailed.
