I think I can see why some are critical of the Christian belief. I don't automatically assume it is just for the reasons they suggest.

Hi, Momma Angel.
I don't mean to put you on the spot, but what does that mean?
Are you saying that some people might consider it reasonable to abandon reason?
Or are you saying that what to some people seems like abandonment of reason might seem perfectly reasonable to others?
Or are you saying something else, entirely?

I can't answer right now. Soending time with hubby for the New Year. I will get to this right away though. I still have to answer someone else on something else and didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

Happy New Year My Friend!

Happy New Year.
Take your time. I know that most people actually have plans tonight or, at least, people to hang out with.
Not me! Very Happy
I'll be here with the rest of the losers.
(And it's my frickin' birthday, to boot!)

echi,

I'm just glad you are okay. I've become kind of fond of you and didn't like to think of you being sad on your birthday or New Year's. Intrepid had a wonderful idea by putting the party favors there. I hope he doesn't mind I tagged along!

Nah...he seems like a nice fellow.

Thanks for the kind words. I guess this means I haven't ticked you off too bad, yet. (Not that I'm out to, but I worry that it may be inevitable.)

Why? Because we have different beliefs? What difference should that make in how we communicate and get along?

echi, I can get along with anyone no matter what they believe. You have only shown respect and civility in discussing things with me. If I get frustrated it's because I seem unable to answer your questions fully enough. It's not because you ask them.

I ask lots of questions. If I don't know something, I ask. That's how I learn.

I don't see any problems with us continuing to get along. Seems like the only time that happens is when someone has to be right.

So, please, don't worry. If you worry, it might make you hold back on asking me something you really want to know. I don't want you to hold back. I've learned a lot from you too.
