I think that the conservative right has simply codified a trend that I have noticed happening since the late 1960's. In that era, instead of a search for truth and reason, the young people embraced the Hare Krishnas, the Moonies, New Age and other forms of mysticism.

The difference between you and I is that I back up my assertions reasonably and with logic and evidence, and my premises can stand up to scrutiny.
You don't just get to be right because 'you say so', it is something you must be able to demonstrate if you wish to convince anyone of intelligence.
