You can not tell me, Parados, that the information given by the CIA to Clinton six years before 9/11- SIX YEARS--TIME ENOUGH TO INVESTIGATE THROUGHLY---was not specific and on target.

Anyone with any foresight would have immediately set up some kind of a pilot program to improve airport security and to reinforce survelliance procedures in Washington DC and New York.

The CIA warning is QUITE SPECIFIC..

then there was the attack on the USS Cole,the bombing of the Khobar towers,and 2 US embassies blown up.

Thank you, Mysterman for your reminder. Parados probably did not remember that US citizens were killed in the first WTC bombing and that our servicemen were killed on the Cole and that the Kohbar Towers were blown up and that two embassies were subjected to attacks.

Just a few hundred people killed. That's all and just a few American citizens.

I am sure Parados thinks that is an easy price to pay to maintain "peace". But the only "piece" Clinton was thinking of was Monica.

The first bombing on the WTC was only a month into the Clinton administration (2/26/93), so any effort to hang 9/11/01 on Clinton eight months after Bush (the Lesser) took office should certainly be countered with blaming the first WTC bombing on Bush (the Greater).

the naval report states that the men who were manning the guns on the US Cole allowed those small boats to get closer to the ship than their orders allowed for. Those sailors were supposed to prevent those small ships from getting close enough to attack that ship by shooting them out of the water. They did not do that.

the african embassy bombing and Khobar bombing came after sec. state, madeline albright testified before congress that the security of US embassies and buildings needed dramatic upgrading to counter terrorist attacks. the Clinton administration called for increasing the funding for the protection of those embassies, and an increase in funding was rejected by the republican congress, until of course, after the embassy bombings.

All of these happened while Clinton was president.

Your superior logic has conquered, Kuvasz. Clinton was never guilty of anything. He could not(he was only in office a month) have done anything to prevent the Cole attack. He hadn't read the CIA reports until he had finished with his bimbos.

Since your logical powers are so stunning, you may be able to dispose of the CIA report given in 1995.

It clearly gave Clinton NOT ONLY THE POSSIBLE LOCATIONS OF A STRIKE BY THE ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS BUT IT ALSO GAVE THE POSSIBLE MEANS.

Since I am not as proficient as scholar as you are, Kuvasz, I have not found evidence that Clinton followed up this report with any airport security measures or more arrangements to protect the key spots in New York and DC.

If you know about such measures, please inform me.

Wasn't Osama bin Laden involved with the 1993 WTC bombing?

The terrorists who conducted the 9/11 attacks are dead. Zacarias Moussaoui is in custody. The mastermind of the 9/11 attacks is in US custody. Many al Qaeda officers have been captured or killed since 9/11. Bin Laden is probably sitting in a cave in Pakistan, keeping his head down ... his ability to operate is all but removed. It is a matter of time before he is captured or killed.
