If presenting Jesus as a spoiled eleven year old girl who lives in a gated community is "defending" him then I think Jesus would probably prefer that nobody "defend" him.

Sturgis did a much, MUCH better job defending Jesus than this letter writier could ever dream of.

Okay, I'll admit, there are things I don't like either, such as Santa being drunk.

What I was referring to was this:
The overall message of this world leaving God out of things. Personally, I feel that Christmas has gotten waaay too commercial. We HAVE left Jesus out of it! Not everyone, just alot. Not that the nonbelievers care however.

It's only going to get worse. Until God gets left out of everything, this 'earthly' life will not be happy.

I just didn't like how everyone was attacking her. If a post would have been made on Satanism or some form of worshipping the devil or anything earthly it wouldn't have gotten this much critizism!!!

If her post had been about Satanism it would have most likely been ignored completely because nobody wants to fart around talking to Satanist so you might have a point there.

And I disagree. The overall message is that Jesus is a sorority girl who won't let me into her party because I don't have the right shoes.

God comes in many disguises and goes by many names. I can't imagine him being left out of "everything" ever, much less "anything" for more than 5 seconds.

If "attacking" her forces her to think of Jesus as beyond a snippy little bitch then everyone who attacked her (not her really, this letter) did her a HUGE favor.

Out of curousity.....are you one that believes in reaching God in many ways...do you believe Jesus's Father as being God, that they are one and the same?

I do believe that God was Jesus' father.

I believe that he is all of our father.

I do not believe that Jesus and God are one in the same.

(I don't believe in Heaven or Hell either so my choice to live a righteous life are for the sake of righteous living.)

(And I believe that Jesus would be terribly offended by this letter.)

I doubt that clears things up much, Wanda, but it is really the best I can do. My beliefs are very personal and not easy to explain.

If I was forced at gunpoint to pick a religion I'd say I was Quaker, but that is only if they had cocked the hammer and had their finger on the trigger.
