Maybe I spoke too soon. He did look offsides, though.

TWO did look offside .... and it smelled like a penalty, too.

Come back! That smell was, according to Walter, a penalty not testosterone. Besides, I've been here a while and my breasts haven't shrunk yet. Not for lack of wanting.

This game is a bit of a stinker. Who's on next again? Maybe that one'll be better.

More or less - besides 6 goals in an opening match - the only fantastic thing.

I think we are going to see some fantastic longe range goals with this new ball. You wait until Lampard, Gerard, Beckham, Ronaldinho etc. get hold of it.

Just an aside, did anyone notice that Khan looked like thunder during the match? I don't think that he and Lehmann get on too well. Any gossip from Walter regarding that little state of affairs?

You will need to wait until Monday for the next significant game (USA - Czech Republic). Smile

I'm pretty indiscriminate. The significant games aren't always the best to watch. The next one I consider significant is Argentina vs. Ivory Coast (Sunday, I think), but that's because I have a soft spot for the African teams.

I think I'll just make a day of it. Who has the bottle opener? I've got a cold Warsteiner tempting me.

(soccer ignorant here) About half an hour ago, cars have started speeding through Munich with lots of people in German flags blowing whistles. I suppose Germany must have won.
