Define God

For those of us who have enjoyed a pretty good life on this planet, which I might say are very few, my lifespan thus far has been rewarding - even as my body begins to fail me in many ways.

In my 'short' lifespan, I could never understand any god who claims to love humans, but is ready to destroy the world with a flood. Those simple contradictions don't need much intelligence or speculation to comprehend.

I've questioned the teachings of the church since I was a young teenager, and never looked back, and have been relatively happy as an atheist.

I know that when my time comes to leave this life, there will only be death and nothing more.

Why would he acknowledge it when it is not at all the point of the story? It is merely what you think is the point of the story. Just as you think good and evil can only be what you think they are. Or that the only way to think is to think as you think and anybody who doesn't think like you think should learn to think for a change. MYOEP in a never-ending circle of self approval.

Your chance of understanding the theology of the story is not much different than the chance of a midge pushing the tide back.

On my list of things I cannot understand is how you got like you are after a very expensive American education. One might assume there are millions more just like you.
