@Setanta,
Alive, perhaps; but am I forgiven?
@aperson,
I meant insignificant in the context that belief does not change truth or fact.

Right On! Irrelevant may be a better word.
maybe
If it is the case that the Old Testament says--at least implicitly-- that God is a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, capriciously malevolent bully" we can draw two conclusions: (1) it is good to be a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, capriciously malevolent bully, or (2) it means that mankind has evolved a bit since the writing of the Old Testament.
@neologist,
Seek forgiveness, if you really feel you need it, within . . . just as you should seek the kingdom of heaven within . . .
@JLNobody,
Apparently you missed the point . . . .
@Setanta,
Hmmm. As I remember, when last we parted, you had been particularly offended by my character or intellectual failure.
Or did I, also, miss a point?
@neologist,
Neologist, I was just responding to APERSON'S link on Feb 5th.
@JLNobody,
See how easy it is for one to miss the point?
@neologist,
I don't get your point--yet.
@JLNobody,
It was I who missed, apparently.
@neologist,
Yes, you did miss a point. I took exception to you repeating, for the "umpteenth" time, that garden of eden/free will test bullshit. I railed at you for repeating what had been slapped down again and again, quite recently. I wouldn't say the were necessary an indicator of a character flaw, unless one were to allege that the inability to let go of one's ideas, even in the face of their repeated deflation, is a character flaw. As for intellect, avid self-delusion in aid of theology or ideology is not respecter of intellect.
@Setanta,
Well, Doggone it, furface, I believe that stuff.
No excuses.
What can I say?

Allow me a minor edit:
"Study of religions reveals the absurd" To which I add:
There is a kernel of merit you have yet to discover
@JLNobody,
Ah, the famous Richard Dawkins quote. I'm seeing it more and more often these days. Still, an excellent point.
@Steve 41oo,
Are you willing to expend the effort? (Proverbs 2:4)
Or do you expect me to provide a SHAZAAM!
