Other Top SECRET ways of diminishing Christianity:

1) Continue to allow Jerry Falwell to speak aloud.

2) Fight against any and all medical research as "None of our Beeswax."

3) Get as many school boards as possible to promote myth as science.

4) Organize Catholic Bishops' Sleepover Nights in your parish.

5) Do a 24 hours a day live reality show starring Pat Robertson.

6) Explain to people that obedience is loyalty. (Ask George W.)

Is it OK to diminish other religion's holidays?

Should we call the menorrah a "holiday candelabra"?

Fine by me.

All gods are fair game for laughter.....

Let's rattle our tonsils for Yahweh, Allah, the entire Greek pantheon, every god and demi god on the Indian subcontinent, and jest at jehovah.

How hypocritical.

I remember all the solemn spouting about how evil it is to make fun of their book not long ago.

Which is it?

Lol!! I remember that it was about flushing the Koran down loos, and torturing people.

I am not in the least surprised that you are unable to distinguish cruelty from good humoured teasing, but most of us can.

Shrugs.

Well. Which is it? Shall we laugh at them, belittle them and of course, flush their books--or is one who mocks a religious book a bigot???

Let's ask dlowan.

She said--not long ago--

Is it so hard to see how your condemning another religion for revering a book is bigoted?

You said it is stupid to revere a book.

This is their holy writ, it seems - again, on what basis do you respect your own holy writ and not another's?

____________________

On what basis does a belittler of religion judge another's book belittling?

Or, is it just OK for you?

Torturing didn't enter in to it. I'm not surprised that you'd try to pretend it did, though.

This is a perfect example of why liberals look so bad. Their stories twist in the wind--"this thing" is OK on this day when it suits me--but if someone else does it--well.... my opinion changes...

It's either OK, or it's not. Just get it straight.

Is it OK to belittle one's religion, religious artifacts, books, OR NOT?

See if you can cobble together an intelligible sentence and not rely on the inanities that seem to crowd your posts.

She's getting close.

Lash, IF you make a rational point, I will look at it and consider responding.

So far you haven't.

I might check in in a couple of days.

'Til then, I shall return to the eminently sensible policy of ignoring your stupid attempts to create psycho dramas.

Is this your answer? The dodges don't become you. More and more, they really don't. I think you've long passed the heehee stage.

Translation: She is petrified to have to actually answer a question, where she knows she will be proven wrong.

I have asked a question. She is afraid to answer.

When you bring up something that makes it clear that you don't understand the meaning behind the post but wish to construe it in such a way that suits your objective, it makes it look like you are baiting. Speaking of missed, you are misfiring all over the place.

I'm privy to this one, and it's clear that you're trying to make a connection that won't reach. If this conversation belongs in another thread where everyone would be more likely to understand what you're talking about, have at it. In the mean time, your posts are sounding kind of incoherent. There may be a valid point or argument in there, but I doubt anyone but you can see it.

Have some egg nog and call it a night.
