C.I.,

I believe you are mocking me here and if that makes your boat float, that is just fine. I was only sharing how I feel. I have no ulterior motives for it. I AM NOT PERFECT C.I. Never claimed to be. I accept responsibility for my actions.

You accused us Christians of some things. You called us some names. You think it's okay to say what you want to and about us and our beliefs. I guess that's because you don't believe in God and you think that gives you license to do whatever you want. That's fine for you.

But, just don't expect me to sit here and let you walk all over me or my God. Do not expect me to let you call me, or anyone else for that matter a bastard, and get away with it.

I may not like you C.I., but, I will not treat you the way you treat me and others because of it.

And no Set, it doesn't warm the cockles of my little Christian heart. Actually, it makes my heart cry. It makes me sad that people can get so angry, bitter, resentful, contemptuous, hateful, etc., at one another and start tearing each other down. I believe we should lift each other up.

In that case, you should have a long talk with John Creasy, because that describes to a "T" what he does on these boards every day.

Momma Angel,
It seems that those with whom you try to have a conversation with do not want to listen. They do not want to play nice. They get their excitement from bashing others through the anonymity of a public forum. Just like folks who become all brave and full of bravado on the highways. Of course, from the safety of their car. How many of these clowns do you think would have the guts to say the same things to my face. Or even you, for that matter. There is turning the other cheek and then there is protecting that cheek from being mutilated beyond recognition.

We both know that this only happens with a few select posters. They came here after their original lair was closed. The vast majority, however, have a lot more common sense and even emphathy for their fellow man and poster. If your ID was Momma Devil and you never mentioned that you are a Christian... you would probably be welcomed with open arms.

You know what? Often they win because they actually draw us into their little game. We become angry and go against the very things that we believe.

There are those whose only enjoyment is taunting people on forums. They probably do not interact well with real people and we see and reap the results. This is actually unfair to the vast majority of posters who are reasonable in their approach.

We have stated our opinion on topics and it is only that...our opinion. Those who disagree cannot leave it at disagreement. Instead, they accuse us of trying to force our views on others. How could any reasonable person think something is being forced on them if they do not want it to be? That is the excuse for the slings and arrows.

Whether one is an agnostic, atheist or believer should not have any bearing on them being treated as human beings. Each has their opinion and way of life and while we may not agree, it should be the topic that we do not agree about. Not our religion, race, age or level of education or anything else.

I can tell you that when I went to meetings in Tucson, there were a lot of Indians at the meetings and one dude told me how big of a problem it is in his community. I replied that it is the same back home with the Irish. It's not rocket science.

Yes John and I once saw a short redheaded woman drunk on the streets of Albuquerque. Perhaps Lash can give you a hint about spurious correlations.

There's a correlation here about how some of us treat the christians on this board, and how they respond to it. To that extent, I admit guilt.

The wife comes home early and finds her husband in their master bedroom making love to a beautiful, sexy young lady.
"You unfaithful, disrespectful pig! What are you doing? How dare you do this to me -- your faithful wife, the mother of your children! I'm leaving this house now, and I want a divorce!"
The husband, replies, "Wait a minute! Before you leave, at least listen to what happened."

"Hummmmm, I don't know.................well, it'll be the last thing I'll hear from you. But make it fast, you unfaithful pig!"

The husband begins to tell his story:

"While driving home this young lady asks for a ride. I saw her so defenseless that I went ahead and allowed her in my car. I noticed that she was very thin, not well dressed and very dirty. She mentioned that she had not eaten for three days. With great compassion,
I brought her home and warmed up the enchiladas that I made for you last night that you wouldn't eat because you're afraid you'll gain weight. The poor thing, she practically devoured
them. Also, since she was very dirty, I asked her to take a shower.

While she was showering, I noticed her clothes were dirty and full of holes so I threw them away. Then, since she needed clothes,
I gave her the pair of jeans that you have had for a few years, that you can no longer wear because they are too tight on you.
Also, I gave her the blouse that I gave you on our anniversary but you don't wear because you said I don't have good taste. I gave her the pullover that my sister gave you for Christmas that you will not wear just to bother my sister, and I gave her the boots you bought at the expensive boutique that you never wore again after you saw your co-worker wearing the same pair."

The husband continues his story . . . . .

"The young woman was very grateful to me and I walked her to the door. When we got to the door she turned around and with tears coming out of her eyes, she asked me:

"Sir, do you have anything else that your wife does not use?"

Note: I'm sure only those that are on the offensive will understand this story.

I understand it.It's about 3500 years old and has been retailed endlessly by sniggering bores in drinking places the world over ever since.More often than not it is told with more style and panache that one finds here in an attempt to prevent listeners from nodding off.One can easily miss out from "defenceless" to "tears coming out of her eyes" (as if they could do otherwise) without missing anything. The part between is simply a droning noise.

Your mother's behavior
Gave pain to our Savior
And that's why he's made you a cripple

It is a story about monogamous man.I'm not one of those so that explains why I don't understand it.It's a "in" joke.Like gallows humour. It has to do with your specific ambience rather than human nature.

Intrepid, I wasmaking an example that it was those of your "ilk" who taunted first. Its not always about you.
I was referring to you however when I said,
"Intrepid, are you shittin me?".....
BTW, Im not an atheist, Im an agnostic, with heavy leanings on the orthodox forensic.
