Atheists... Your life is pointless

@Arella Mae,
I see your point...But I just wanted to say one thing...it is not just him in that respect...If there is no such thing as a God or atheists do not believe in a God or Gods...Then it is every single atheist...Unless they are talking about getting together for some kind of gathering or something...

I mean them saying that they are atheist, sums up everything that one really needs to know about them...

They do not even need to debate theism/atheism...in threads like this one...

I am not saying that they should not if they want too, or anything...

But think about it, I mean really think...Why would they even want to do it?

What would be the reasons why they would? If they chose to do it? But know they did not have to do it?

Now if one says that they are Christian, then there is like 23, 000 different denominations...So we would have reasons to discuss differences...But I would proabably not want to do it myself...Because the belief in Jesus is the one thing that makes it all count...

This reply does not really require an anwer as most of my post was just rhetorics...

I see, you don't believe in him but you talk about him? Hmmmm..................so why do you care what anyone thinks about Him.

Because I care about people and the future of our planet.

I would like to see the people voting and being voted into office seeing reality the best that they can.

@reasoning logic,
That again does not really answer Arella's question mate...It really does not at all...

So you like people to vote and be voted in because you care about the future but because you DO NOT vote?

She is asking you directly what it is you find interesting, or worth talking about? or discussing about Jesus?....As an atheist/Christain...? Or if part of you does not believe he is God or is relevant?

(Sorry if I said your position a bit wrong Arella) I do not mean to do any kind of bigotry or anything...But I can't take the misunderstanding any longer....

Being surrounded by people who are not completely sane who have killed people one at a time and also in groups the sizes of nation states over history in the name of their insane believes systems it seem wise to try to cure as many as possible from their insanity before we get the next Jonestown like happening or even bigger events.

As the hijackers was yelling god is great as they aimed planes into buildings.

@BillRM,
If it was going to happen, and people truly have insane beliefs...And they are all the ones in power....Like you claim all of this is....Then it would not make a difference...And it would be done, regardless if you wanted to stop it...Or if someone like myself who does believe, but does not think the same evil ways as these people do...I too would be incapable of stopping them...as well

I think that is just a rather general, inconclusive answer from your own perspective as to why you do it....But a generality of what most atheists think....And you do not know what most athiests think, or you do not think the same ways they do....Or again, you and they would not be here talking about religion, or atheism....but yet you are...

Unless atheism conformed to a belief, and you all became one, and spoke as one...Just like the Church does, or these insane believers do...

And people who flew planes into buildings exemplified no one but their own evil selfish desires...Not religious folks...not at all...

Unless you can prove that most believers want to fly planes into buildings? Which you know you can not...Because it is not true...

It seems interesting how directly and clearly you understand her question and then you seem to have a little doubt if you said her position clearly.

Nonsense they was acting in the name of the type of god they happen to believed in and as religious as any good Christian going to church on a Sunday morning.

That is simply because you do not understand it again...I THINK I understand what she is saying...But I KNOW It is not the exact way she would word it...

@BillRM,
Yes, you are correct Bill...because Christians teach in Church on Sunday's to be extremists and fly planes into buildings if you MUST... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

And I am sure that Muslims in Mosque's teach to be extremists and fly planes into buildings if you MUST... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

@Zardoz,
You make a lot of assumptions don't you? Who said I was a Christian?

I'm still waiting for the chapter and verse. As you found it in your protestant aunt's family Bible it shouldn't take you too long.

Hey mate!!

He could just google it also...And look and see what translation of the Bible has that printed if what he said is true...There are websites that will give the abilty to look at every different translation...and compare them...But I am sure you know this mate...Cause it is on him to back up...

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
So far we've had Boney M, something I pointed out long before it dawned on RL, and Frank kindly pointed out a passage about elders dealing with wayward kids, but nothing about being blessed for smashing your own kids heads on the rocks.

It says what it says so I can't deny it says Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks. It is talking about it being done to their enemies. But again, this is not the way God deals with us or would have us deal with anyone today so why do you bring it up?

Why do you say that when JESUS says otherwise. Don't you think the word of JESUS is important?

@BillRM,
Why is it BillRM, that you're quite willing to condemn Christians for acts of Historical barbarity, but when it comes to the slaveowning rapist, Thomas Jefferson, you give him a free pass on the grounds that the past is a foreign country?

@izzythepush,
My my if slaveholders such as Jefferson was alive now and people was supporting the return to slavery I would be concern however that is not the case.

On the other hands the same kind of people who was talked into going off on both the people and children's Crusades are still sitting in churches waiting for some new Jesus type figure/leader to get them marching once more in the name of the lord.

Given that all religion people by definition are not firmly connection to the real universe it is hard to predict given the right or the wrong leader what he or she could talk them into doing in the name of the lord.

@BillRM,
If this leader figure does come back...It is said that everyone will know it is him by his presence alone...That no one could deny....So if even you could...It is not him...But if he does come back, you would not be able too...

When someone who thinks that viewing Child Pornography is a victimless crime starts pontificating on morality, he really can't expect to be taken seriously.
