Can you give me the answer to which one you think you would want to do?

If this God proved himself, and there was no way to be unsure of it and the afterlife, Would you want to go with it? Not know anything about it? Or not go with it?

If I found that the God was the same immoral God of the bible I would not want to be any part of him but if I had to choose between being tortured forever I am not sure because it would be like torture for me to be with a person who acted the way the God did in the bible.

I have no idea.

One of the problems I have when hypotheticals are proposed to me is that I am working with the world the way it is...rather than the way it would be if the hypothetical came into being.

If I am asked "What would you do if you won $50,000,000?"...I would answer from the perspective of a guy with dirt for personal wealth. The truth is...I have absolutely no idea of what I would do if I won $50,000,000.

And I have no idea of what I would do in the hypothetical you presented.

Let's be real sure you understand what I said before going onto another question from you. And then I may have a question for you.

Let's ask some proper questions eh? What if pigs could fly and cars could run on tap water questions are for sophists. Accusing others of being sophists is not evidence that you are not one yourself.

Right--if you walked into a brothel would you prefer it to be one where you was invited to inspect the ladies, like the dishes on a posh buffet tables, choose one, who then conducted you to a private room to perform the service you had come for or would you prefer to be paraded before the ladies, conducted to a room, and the ladies decided which one of them would see to you?

It is no use saying that you wouldn't enter a brothel. The point is that if the only thing you knew about the joint was that it is a brothel which one would you expect to find? If it is the former you're a solid Christian. And the proof that the Christian God exists is that the brothel you expect is the one you find.

The Pagans were a bit different.

A very great deal depends on that choice. If you expect the former the "hottie" comes to the fore, the tempting dish, and then things like beauty treatments and fashions and raging competitions enter the economic foreground and $16 trillion debts are not far behind. The competition to be the "hottie" being fierce.

If you expect the latter the best thing to do is pass on by. imo at least.

I understand from reading your responses to other people in this thread that you have intentions to "teach" me something.

I am careful about who teaches me what...and I cannot help but wonder what, specifically, you "intend" to "teach" me.

So...keeping in mind that while I am willing occasionally to allow certain people to "teach" me about things I am convinced they KNOW (and about which I wish to learn)...I am not willing to allow people indiscriminately to "teach" me things that may not meet the criteria I set up for this kind of enterprise....

...my question is: What are you planning to teach me?

Frank I do realize that Ryan and many others do not value the videos that I share but I do have a question for you. Do you think that this video meets the criteria you set up for this kind of enterprise?

Sheesh!! Three blokes who think they are not sophists or misogynists and they can't answer simple, everyday questions and spout gobbledegook in the hope that nobody will notice and they are the only questions that have any sort of answer grounded in reality.

I asked you about yourself, 2 days ago, or yesterday, whenever it was, because I wanted to learn about you, and the True agnostic position...

Because I was sure, you were uncertain...But were looking to find the answers...?

Was I wrong, in that you were uncertain but were not looking for answers?

And wanted to remain uncertain?

If it is, then I apologize...And we do not have to talk about you anymore....

But If it is then that also means that you can't be uncertain...And have to a have belief about one or the other...That has not been revealed yet...That you must know...But have decided to keep secret which is cool if you do...

Or you must have learned some new things about yourself that you never knew...

Because if you are still uncertain...And are not looking for answers...Then there would be no reason to stop me from asking you about yourself...to learn about your position...

So if you have learned some new things...I am glad you found out who you are...

And there is no obligation for you to tell anyone who you are...And what you believe...Do not believe...

If you say you do not feel you learned anything...And are still uncertain...I am not sure why you are asking me why I was asking you questions about the true agnostic position? To learn about you...

And your other point about others knowing what you want to learn...

I did not try to show you anything you did not know yourself...Or want to learn...Or were asking myself...Or other individuals...

It is not that I don't value your videos mate...It is that I want to hear what you think and have to say about them yourself...And then I would tell you what I think about them as well...

I just don't see a point in trying to see the video as to how you would...And then tell you how I agree with that or not...when you could just tell me what you think about them...So I can be certain that the way you view the videos yourself is correct...And then my position as to how I agree or not with what you think about it...Would also be correct, and we would not have to try to disect all of this stuff that would slow it down....

Why would you want me to try to view it like you would to tell you how I agree or not...When you could just tell me?

Logic, you don't seem to understand what I am saying...It seems to me that I have more respect for your own opinions about the videos you post more than you do yourself...I am not saying I do not watch because they are not interesting to me...I am saying that I would actually like to hear what you think about them yourself because I respect what you have to say and think...when you ask me my opinions about them...Otherwise, I am stuck there, trying to see the videos the way that you do and compare it to the way I think...When I am not interested in doing that...Because it is way to easy for me to be far off cause I do not think the same way that you do...So if you tell me how you actually view them...I will know with certainty how you think and feel about them...Then I could tell you exactly how I agree with that those positions or how I directly disagree...Without trying to actually pretend to know what I think you think about them...Cause again, I do not see things the same way as you do yourself...

LoL...Sounds like an ultimatum or something...I know you like my views or the way I think Logic...But I like the way you think as well, and think you an intellengent guy...You could just tell me how you view them so I do not have to try to percieve how I think you view them yourself...

So you want me to watch? Tell you how I think you see them? Tell you how I agree? Or disgree? And what I think about the video itself? Why?...You are smart enough to know what you think, and what you find interesting, way better than I would know how you think...myself...I don't want to pretend to know how you think if I do not know...
