Oh, I don't think he meant anything by that, Osso. A phrase like "private in intent" can be confusing. It took me a minute or two to figure out what it meant.

Let's not make this some kind of contest. Most of us are very open around here, yet we all have our limits, and rightly so. That said, let's not make an issue of it, okay?

Exactly. I didn't intend this to be a contest, although if some were to look back upon this thread, they would know what I mean.

If you are not already an avid picture taker, my advice would be: don't spend a lot of money. Get an inexpensive camera and see how enthusiastic you are at taking pictures with it. After about a year or so, you will have your answer. By then you will have gained enough experience and knowledge to purchase a pricier digital camera that will be suited to your needs.
