Held a garage sale at my house today. I am exhausted. We'll talk later, okay?

The garage sale, that was the fun part of the beginning of the weekend, right? Right? Laughing

ZZZzzzzzzzz...humph....hmm.....Oh. Yes. We were talking, weren't we. <rubs eyes>

I didn't get up 'til 2 p.m. today. I really was exhausted. After packing up the garage sale stuff and putting tables, etc. away, we went to a very unusual dinner. A barge ride up and down the Arkansas River shipping channel, hosted by the port authorities. Yes, Tulsa is an international seaport, believe it or not. Shipments come from the Gulf of Mexico up the Mississippi then Arkansas Rivers to our doorstep. They served us BBQ as we heard all about future development plans. Very good, but the wind was rather chilly on the water. Silly me, I forgot and wore sandals. My toes froze.

Going to Oktoberfest tonight to eat German food and do the chicken dance.

What fun are you having this weekend?

That does indeed sound like a pleasant dinner! How did you find out about it?

The most unusual restaurant that I've ever went to was at the top of a building and the restaurant revolved slowly.

Hope the food was good!

Nothing too exciting. Our usual routine is to catch up on various shopping chores. We do like to go to this one second-hand shop and find little treasures.

We spend a lot of our leisure time puttering around our home. With me, I like to relax on the computer, spending a fair amount of my time right here!

Hahaha! You guys are so funny!

We were invited to the dinner last night by our best friends. He's a finance officer at City Hall. It was an interesting group of people that went, and that always makes for a good time.

Combing through antique and second-hand shops is so fun. I wish my husband enjoyed it. I don't get enough chances to do that. I should find a girlfriend and go, I think. Thanks for a good idea!

You're welcome! That's what I'm here for. Laughing

My wife likes to collect cat ornaments. She's always on the lookout for old photo albums and books on scrapbooking. She does a lot of crafty type stuff.

I was able to watch my baby girl march in the HS Marching Band - brought me to tears seeing the girl with the giant bass drum - she's the first girl ever at her HighSchool in history to play this drum in the MarchingBand

Husker,

Hey, thanks for the nice pics! Those pumpkins look a good size. Very festive.

Re: the signs - Someone has some good talent putting those together. Nice craftmanship. Good details.

How long has your daughter been in the band? I can just imagine the hours of practising to get the music and routines just right!

Cup of coffee?

This is her first year in the Marching Band, she's a Sophmore - remember 5'11" pretty tall, but still unable to over the drum.

5' 11"? Yup, I would consider that tall, alright!

Any career planned in music, or is she just pursing the band as a side interest?

Yeah, I'm not one for coffee, tea either. At home, I mostly just drink filtered water.

She wants to be a Veterinarian, but really she has a gift for music - plays by ear and all that kind a stuff.
