I am shocked and saddened by the news!

Being another old time Abuzzer and early on A2Ker - Joanne always held a special place in my heart. Five years of interacting with a person makes you feel like you know them so very well.

I considered her a friend much like she did of us:

feel like I am coming home to vist dear old friends.

My deepest sympathies to David, and all those close to her.
Thank you so very much for letting us know.

I didn't really know her either, but am saddened by this news. She was obviously well known and well loved by the A2K family.

My condolences to her family.

Just signing in to send my condolences to Joanne's husband, the rest of her family and friends. It has been several years since I met her on the first board and always enjoyed her posts.

I remember her from Abuzz. She was very ladylike and kind.

My sympathies to David and her family.

My own heartfelt sympathy to you and your family, David. As everyone else here, I am so stunned and heartbroken, yet so thankful. Thankful for having the chance to know the Joanne here on A2K and thankful to you for sharing such difficult news with us.

I am certain that Joanne has found her peace at last.

I know what it is to have a spouse commit suicide, David, and my heartfelt sympathy goes to you and yours. I hope you don't feel guilty; we have to believe that each person is in charge of their own life and honour the decision to give it up. Survivor's guilt hits us all though, however irrational. Thank you for trusting us with your sad news.

This is SO profoundly sad. Joanne and David were scheduled to visit us some months back, but they did not show up on the day scheduled, nor did she call when she said she would. I was pissed until weeks later when she called to apologize for neither calling nor coming. That took some courage on her part. Joanne is fine now, but my heart goes out to David.

My condolences to Joanne's family and friends, especially to her husband.

The months of October and April seem to affect the mood of many people. I have been told this about myself. It has something to do with seasonal change and our own "biological timeclocks".
