Mr. Set,
Perhaps you mean something that the rest of us minions do not understand. It can't be a mistake because you take great pains to point out typos and grammatical errors of others. Therefore, you would never do that yourself. Praytell, what is a big a big girl? Thank you.

Just a play on the post telling of fallen angels.

I was merely trying to lighten the moment with a bit of inanity which is why I picked up on your post.(not that yours was inane) Should have saved the effort, not very good with trying to joke around.

anyone:

It is hard to distinguish between faith and superstition. Some people believe that if you walk in front of a ladder you will have bad luck and some people believe that if you don't believe in God you are going to hell. It would be a little easier to prove the former. If a person walked in front of a ladder and then won a million dollar lottery ticket, then you might think, well, so much for that. But then if a little while later after winning the lottery ticket, he gets run over by a car and dies, you go, oh, ho... But no one has gone to hell and come back to tell us about it. We can only take the Bible's word for it. I personally believe it, but understand why someone else wouldn't.

Typical lack of genuine intrepidity . . . i have never denied i make such errors, and it doesn't bother me that you point them out. I point out others errors in the hope that it will sting, and it usually does--it really gets to you, i notice. Doesn't bother me in the least.

I note that you describe yourself as a minion . . . a minion of whom or what . . . could it be . . . SATAN ? ! ? ! ?

Mr. Setana,

Yes, we know. It does't matter to you in the least. I think the point Intrepid might have been making is, "Uh gee, SET we all make mistakes!" Some just own up to them and others don't.

Do you always act this childish when you don't know how to give a reasonable answer when you are caught in your own game? If it didn't bother you, why did you bother to reply?

At least you admit that it is for no other reason than to sting someone. The sign of a genuine bully.

No, I do not describe myself as a minion. I am sure that you would be in a better position than I to tell us about Satan.

No wonder the bible gets misinterpreted so often.

This is patently a lie, because . . .

If you're going to peddle lies, Lack of Intrepidity, don't be so transparent about it, it simply makes you look more ridiculous than you already do--which is quite an accomplishment.

As i have no reason to believe that there are any deities, i equally have no reason to believe that there is a Satan, who is, after all only another form of a deity. You can't have Satan without god, and if you don't have god, you have no Satan.

Yes, it is understandable when one sees such lies and fuzzy thinking commonly peddled by the god squad.

Do you have, Lack of Intrepidity, an explanation for why you blatantly lied? Do you understand why such practices only tend to bring further into disrepute the ludicrous practice of asserting that there is any unambiguous truth to be found in the bobble?

I cannot stop laughing. I am about to split a gut!

Mr. Setanta is calling Intrepid a liar and telling him he shouldn't be so transparent about it?http://www.smileys.ws/smls/laughing/00000001.gif

Mr. Setanta with all due respect, I think he learned from the master (uh, that would be you.).

Hey, you know what, this making fun of someone else is rather fun, just like you all said it was! Good, clean fun!http://www.smileys.ws/smls/laughing/00000017.gif

Write this on the blackboard 100 times, Mr. Setanta. I DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST. I DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST. I DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST. I DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST. I DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST. I DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST.http://www.smileys.ws/smls/laughing/00000012.gif

Are you for real Question In a couple of threads now, you have been shown where you "obviously" stated one thing and it was proven to you it was not the truth.

Does your definition of being an atheist mean you get to lie and and then only justify it?

Mr. Setanta, I don't see anybody backing you up on this one. Wonder why? Could it be because you DID TYPE I'M AN ATHEIST and said you didn't?

Man, just admit it! I'm having way too much fun with this! You were right, everyone, everything (not your exact words mind you) should be able to be laughed about! Very Happy

Momma Angel and Intrepid- You take quotations out of context and I think you know it. Taking the whole body of what Setanta has been saying on a2k the past few years, people who care to know what he is about are aware what he meant to convey by those posts. It is typical of those who can't win an argument legitemately to find a bogus side issue and use it to derail any meaningful discussion. That's all this is, drivel to abort any real discussion.

There has been nothing done that Set has not done himself. He frequently takes a small portion of something to dispute. Is that against the rules? Since I have not been here for the past few years and I know that Momma Angel nor thousands of others have been either, I doubt that we will go back and read all of his posts.

Why is is that so many of you consider everything to be an arguement? Somebody always has to win! Come to think of it, I have not seen you in too many meaningful discussions. Just the odd one liners.

MOAN refuses to acknowledge that her faith is indistinguishable from superstition. She claims that she conceded the point, but in a subsequent response to Spendius, she reveals the reservation she continues to guard--the inferential claim that fear is a necessary component of superstition, but not of faith.

She also continues to quote me out of context, for precisely the reason you point out, EB.

I don't take you seriously enough to try for a meaningful conversation, intrepid, particularly after the stunt you attempted on another thread.

Yes, i'm an atheist. There are people here of markedly religious conviction--but given the reception they usually get, they tend to be gun shy. I have, of late, avoided such threads, so as not to unnecessarily offend those of religious conviction. However, the title of this thread was too good to pass up.

That is not taken out of context. He directly answered a question put to him.
