CI, I appreciate the hard work you went through in order to post your responses. Honest. But I'm not going to read through them all.

Why should I when you have included so many straw men and non sequiturs?

Tell ya what.

Give me one or two of your best shots and see if they don't kill me.

If you wish me to start by helping MA explain the apparent discrepancy between Jesus and the God of the OT, I'd be happy to do so. Otherwise, choose yer pizen.

Interesting passages. They mention dissolving of the law, but fail utterly to mention what law, and which portions. Also they didn't make mention of who mandated the law was no longer in effect.

Let me do a bit more research on this. I do know that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the law. But, I don't want to give you any information that I don't fully understand or can back up. So, give me a little bit and I will get on this.

Good answer!

It is refreshing to hear someone say "I'm not sure, but I will try to find out for you". I'm fairly new to this board and so I wouldn't know if this is common here, but from where I come I don't hear that too often.

Then again, I don't say that too often myself, so ... Wink

Implicator, that is a kind thing to say.

The last thing I want to do is confuse anyone with my trying to pretend I do know something. One of the reasons I really like these threads is that I have had to do quite a bit of research and get deeper into the Bible, which is always a good thing!

You are right, Neo. And I was just coming back to say that I don't always stop and think and research first. It is something I am definitely learning to do!

In a universe infinite in space and time what need is there for a Creator?

But if there was there would be an infinite series of planets like ours and if there was such a series the Creator would have to have an infinite number of redemptions from falls, where an infinite number of Eves had tempted an infinite number of Adams with an infinite number of apples, and an infinite number of crosses for His son to die on.

I don't quote Umberto Eco directly but only from memory.

I submit that, regardless of the existence or non- existence of other planets containing sentient life, the Edenic rebellion is unique.

spendius,

That would be from a man's perspective and not from God's though.

God's right to set standards has been brought into question. The issue has only to be settled once.

Questioner,

If that had been God's perspective, I think the Bible would reflect it as such.

One needs only to contemplate the issues raised by Satan (beyond the 'doesn't that fruit look tasty?' point of view) to see that this need be settled only once.
