well if you followed the discussion the way it was used was in caling people names so it was obvious. and both caling someone a name is dishonorable and you jsut made a mistake so thtat iis nothing.

What?

A mistake? Where? Please show me this mistake. Unlike some people here on this thread (please note the obvious here) I am willing to accept that I might be wrong.

And how do you get that Set was calling you a name? You have some obvious issues to deal with.

Calling people "slutty" isn't very honerable in your definition of the word.

if you're trying to make a woman honorable, and make her less of a slut, so she has more honor, then if calling her a slut makes her less of one, in the end you're achieveing more honor.

what makes a woman honorable? imo i think not being a slut is one big thing. also being coordinated and not out of control in general.

i agree, i think that is honor too. however, you think the "slut" girls treuly believe that sleeping around is good for them?

i always thought that women were more emotoinal, thus less able to deal with the transitional stress from one guy to another, since they are more emotional, thus sleeping around like that would damage them emotinoally, especially their emotional purity, and it would even be the good thing to call them a slut in order to get them to reform .

you're right. the only one who cares about yourself is yourself. you need to be in touch with your feelings, understand if you are enjoying something, if this thing is good for you, and if you should do it. i think sluts don't think about if its actually helping them, and are being irrational and silly. if they thought about it, like you suggest, they will realize the better thing to do for themselves is not do that. that they actually like not being a slut more. they are just doing somethign they don't actually like. you want to do what is best for yourself.

Do I have to be more obvious about the least honorable person here?

using the word slut in a meaningful, directed, purposeful, targeted, academic, stuidious context is not in any way dishonorable. i'm not saying its honorable, more like emotionless studying is like that.

if you call someone a nigger its effect is going to be different then saying, "using the word nigger means x or y" if you're studying it its fine to use. if oyu're calling someone it then it isnt'.

my argument is that calling a woman a slut, if she is fact in an emotionally unstable state (like you argue) is only going to make her worse. it decreases her self esteem, which could cause her to spiral downward. if you are saying it to someone who in fact is an intelligent, educated, confident woman who simply enjoys sex, she isn't going to care whether you called her that or not. so using the word SLUT whether name calling or in your words to make her more honorable, is not going to accomplish that.

and name calling is name calling regardless of your so called intentions. why not sit a woman down, determine her reasoning for doing what she is doing in a mutually respectful situation? that would go alot further than just throwing out something that in today's day and age has negative connotations associated with it.

and again, why is being a slut less honorable? simply because society has deemed that women with multiple partners are less honorable than those that have one? what about a man? is he less honorable because he has multiple partners?

if a woman is being a slut. then you could sit her down and give her the definition, but its a little easier to just say it. and to the point. she'll understand your view better. and the situation better. you don't give out the definition, you give out the word. like switch "word" in that last sentence with its definition, whihc sounds better?. and you woman man honor thing, guys are usually praised for getting a lot of "it" so he gets more "honor" in his community - think achilles , by being aggresive, dominant, and strong. however the female achieves less honor cause she isn't sticking up for herself, being strong to herself, and proud of herself, but instead sleeping around like a litlte whore.

Gee-what a to do.

The official position, often stated,of the Roman Catholic church is that if no possibility of conception exists "sex" is not taking place. One may wish to give what is taking place another name but I'll refrain from suggesting one. Thus,I think,The Church would line up with "i know" and against people trying to defend their own past or present behaviour with self-serving semantics.

To discuss "sex" without any reference to children produced by it,or not,is irresponsible. And the State has a direct interest in those children. And it also has an interest in disease and social stability and the possibilty in a sexually promiscuous environment of incest taking place without the knowledge of the parties.

What is the difference between protected "sex" and a handshake. You have to start drawing demarcation lines on bodies to find one and the mystery and awe surrounding the female reproductive system exists precisely because of the possibility of children being the result.

And then to have millions of abortions to try to square the circle-gee whiz!!!!

It is women's magazines, and media in general, which have created this situation and for the reason that they have much to gain from it.

The writing of this is pretty piss-poor, too. I didn't call you crap. I called your silly school-boy trick of quoting someone's post and then simply writing "Support?" crap. And i called your writing drivel. That may be unpleasant for you, but it does not constitute calling you names. What a pathetic attempt to defend your drivel.

i wasn't suggesting that you sit someone down and school her like a little child. i was suggesting that you sit her down, try to understand her actions, and then deal with the situation. and what if the woman is being strong in the sense that she is doing what she wants for herself and not caring what others think about her, just because she has had a few partners does not make her weak and ashamed of herself. i find it so ridiculous that men can sleep around and be MORE honorable. what about the women they are de-honoring if you want to call it that. does it not make someone less honorable, if they are reducing the honor of others?

it is a stupid double standard that upsets me. women are sluts for sleeping around, men are more honorable. give me a freaking break.
