Did you know--Conservative men doubt their masculinity?

Lol! Have any of you picked up that the author of BBB's little piece thinks the "research" is a piece of ****, too?

Alas, I'm afraid my reputation is already ruined by cavorting with Dyslexia, Diane, Osso Buco, Blatham, Lola, Roger, Shewolf, Eva, Fbaezer, and the conservative Asherman.

This whole thread was designed to attack people. Just another "We're better than you" and this is why topic.

Did anyone actually read the article? The writer goes on and on about how he hates the research, doesnt he?

So wait. Someone does a weak-sounding research that purports to show conservatives act out of insecure masculinity. Someone else writes a rant against this research. BBB makes that rant into a new thread. The thread is thus obviously just designed to attack conservatives?

<scratches head> I'm confused.

I swear I think sometimes people only read the name of the author and the title of his/her piece and respond solely on the basis of that, in agreement or disagreement...

It's sad to see that political thought has turned into schoolyard insults and attacking peoples self-images.

I'd be laughing if it wasn't so pathetic.

I'm laughing anyway.

What I always find ironic is the readiness of self-professed Lefties to challenge the sexual identity of their opponents.

Browse A2K and you will find enumerable homophobic references made by "Lefties." How can this be? "Lefties" are sexually enlightened and would never succumb to base sexual insults associated with same-sex oral gratification.

Hypocrisy and self-righteousness are the answers.

Exactly.

jpinMilwaukee, I have been a political activist for 17 years. I discuss and argue with professors and students (political, military). After 17 years I've become selective. I've read all your post on this thread. I agree with you. Yes, I have an opinion. At the moment, as you can see here, I am not motivated to express it.

So you're capable of more than your "why don't all of your hawks enlist?" arguments and snipes, which is pretty much all I recall seing from you so far at this site? Good. Whenever you're ready ....

Exactly.

As opposed to Righties, who entertain themselves with threads highlighting funny pictures in which Kerry and Edwards seem to be kissing ... haha, the sissies!

(Remember that thread?)

Perhaps. Which do you find more ironic?

I think the most ironic is seeing people huff about "the readiness of self-professed Lefties to challenge the sexual identity of their opponents" when you damn well know their own side is at least as keen on it. Or hypocritical and self-righteous, rather, are the words Finn used I believe.

Obviously, many didn't. That why I found the piece so fascinating and decided to post it.
