I have occasional bugs in my apartment. Would fumigation be an appropriate remedy or solution?

I was told I would have to leave the apartment for two hours.

The windows in my apartment are stiff, making them difficult to impossible to open and close.

How could I ensure that I do not reenter my apartment until it is safe to do so?

@gollum,
Before detonating the bomb you could construct a rudimentary dial in a nearby park to gauge time's passage by the angle of the sun.

When police ask about your intent say "klaatu barada nikto' and inform them what you've set up in the apartment and that she's not there.

This method is guaranteed to absorb in excess of two hours.

Or you could just check the time.

@gollum,
Perhaps, but fumigation doesnt solve all the problems. It is a breath of fresh air, but toxic gases and form somewhere else. faith is a clean attitude towards toxic behaviour.

@Prycejosh2024,
No, fumigation is not a breath of fresh air.
