Recently, there have been many newspaper articles about sharks biting people and about living or dead sharks ending up on the beach just beyond the water's edge.
Could the shark meat be prepared for human consumption? Is doing so practicable?

Yes. Shark meat is eaten in various places all over the world and
shark fins are highly valued in certain Asian cultures leading to significant overfishing of sharks. In general, the solution to a few shark bites every year is not to exterminate sharks as they are a key part of the ocean ecosystem.
