NASA’s Dragonfly is set to explore Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, with a mission unlike any previous planetary exploration. Rather than traveling on wheels like a traditional rover, Dragonfly is designed as a rotorcraft that will fly from location to location across Titan’s surface.
One of its planned landing regions is Ahmakiq Undae, a vast dune field near an ancient impact crater. The area is scientifically important because Titan’s organic-rich dunes may preserve clues about the moon’s atmosphere, surface chemistry, and the complex processes that shape its landscape.
Titan is especially fascinating because it has a thick, nitrogen-rich atmosphere and an active weather cycle. Methane plays a role similar to water on Earth, forming clouds, rain, rivers, lakes, and seas. Dragonfly will study the surface and atmosphere while searching for complex organic molecules and evidence that could help scientists understand the chemistry that preceded life.
If successful, Dragonfly will give humanity an entirely new perspective on another world—flying across alien dunes, sampling different environments, and exploring places that would be difficult for a conventional rover to reach.

Happy birthday to Leonard Peltier, the prominent Native American activist and member of the American Indian Movement (AIM) who became a global cause célèbre during his nearly 50 years in federal prison. 🪶
In 1977, Peltier was convicted of first-degree murder for the killing of two FBI agents during a violent shootout on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. The shootout occurred during a period of high tension between Indigenous activists and federal authorities.
Peltier consistently maintained his innocence. Supporters and human rights groups, including Amnesty International, long argued that his trial was deeply flawed, citing allegations of government misconduct, coerced witnesses, and withheld evidence. Consequently, many regarded him as a political prisoner.
In January 2025, President Joe Biden commuted Peltier's life sentence. Following his release from federal prison in February 2025, Peltier returned home. He is serving out the remainder of his sentence under strict home confinement at the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation in North Dakota.

Donald Trump's long-running campaign against Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar took a stunning turn on Fox News this morning when border czar Tom Homan was asked directly whether the government is building a case to strip the Minnesota congresswoman of her U.S. citizenship.
“She is, though, a naturalized U.S. citizen,” Fox host Kayleigh McEnany said. “What would need to happen for her to be kicked out of the country if some fraud is proven?”
Then the direct question: “Is there a denaturalization case that is being brought against her?”
Homan conspicuously did not answer that question yes or no, but instead explained how the government might be able to do it.
“We have denaturalized citizens based on fraud, based on lying on their applications, or lying through the process, misrepresenting themselves,” Homan said. “If someone lies through that process to become a citizen, and we can prove they, in fact, lied or misrepresented themselves, we can absolutely denaturalize them.”
The exchange, of course, didn't occur in a political vacuum. Vice President JD Vance has publicly accused Omar of immigration fraud and said he discussed possible legal remedies with White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
Omar's office called Vance's allegation a “ridiculous lie,” and nothing has become of it since.
McEnany followed up with the obvious question: What does he say to critics who believe pursuing Omar would be politically motivated?
“There's nothing political about it,” Homan said with a straight face.
“ICE is enforcing law that Congress wrote,” he continued. “None of us are making this up.”
That defense of the law itself is technically true. Federal law allows citizenship to be revoked when naturalization was illegally obtained or procured through concealment of a material fact or willful misrepresentation. Trump’s DOJ is currently pursuing an unusually aggressive denaturalization campaign, including a record batch of 25 cases filed this summer.
But Congress writing the law doesn't answer McEnany's question about why the government might choose to wield it against this particular politically active American citizen.
Omar’s isn’t some random name discovered during a routine review. She is a sitting Democratic congresswoman whom Trump and his allies have attacked repeatedly, and senior administration officials have publicly discussed finding a legal avenue to pursue her citizenship. The allegation underlying those threats remains unproven.
And Homan never answered the simplest question McEnany asked him, which we’ll rephrase:
Are you trying to run Ilhan Omar out of the country?
